Women founders have been reaching out to me over the past 24 hours about how they don’t have permission to run their companies in Founder Mode the same way men can. This needs to change

He sold over 20,000,000 pairs of sunglasses with a 240 word story. And is considered to be one of the greatest copywriters, ever. Here’re 5 of Joe Sugarman’s most powerful writing secrets: (Starting with the two he called “THE most powerful”)

Stephen Wolfram of Wolfram Alpha wrote the absolute best post on ChatGPT and Large Language Models. It took me about two hours to read, but significantly increased my understanding of what's going on under the hood of ChatGPT. A few of my favorite takeaways (helps my process)

Listen and be open, but don’t let anybody tell you who you are. This was just one of the many stories telling us all the ways we were going to fail. Today, Amazon is one of the world’s most successful companies and has revolutionized two entirely different industries.

Product-as-journalism - coinmarketcap.com - windy.com - nomadlist.com - ourworldindata.org Dashboards that present numbers alongside (monetizable?) actions can replace pure text coverage in many verticals.
John O'Nolan@JohnONolan

@balajis I think nomadlist.com is a good example of this - I often use it as an example of "product-as-journalism" Instead of "best places to travel" articles every day/week - it's a live updating set of data customised to each user's needs for that specific information-problem

Ruth Bader Ginsburg spent her life in pursuit of an equal world. She fought for the unheard, and through her decisions, she changed the course of American history. We can never repay what she has given us, but we all can honor her legacy by working toward true equality, together.

People aren't surprised when I tell them there are 13,000 Covid-19 cases outside China, or when I tell them this number doubles every 3 days. But when I tell them that if growth continues at this rate, we'll have 1.7 million cases in 3 weeks, they're astonished.

Less than 5% of all bonds yield more than 5%. Pension funds need 7% to break even, assuming they are funded (most aren’t). Thus, almost all Pension Funds are fighting an impossible battle to meet future obligations. They Broke The Entire System.

Something changed in the US around 1980. I was there when it happened, and what happened was that the country shifted from a model that was a market economy at the macro scale but not at the level of individuals to a market all the way down (if you wanted it to be).
