A great morning with inspirational leaders meeting and speaking at @BishGloucester breakfast event about how we inhabit our roles to impact those at risk of finding themselves in the criminal justice system. @ktbg1 Thanks to @shccheltenham for having us ☕️

SafeLives
SafeLives@safelives_·
We’re stepping back from X. At SafeLives, our mission is to end #DomesticAbuse for everyone, for good. We stand with survivors, frontline professionals, and communities fighting for a world free from violence and control. X is no longer a safe or ethical space. The rise in misogyny, racism, toxic views, and extremist rhetoric on this platform goes against everything we stand for. Survivors of abuse deserve better. Women and girls deserve better. Violence against women and girls is at epidemic levels in the UK. It is fuelled by attitudes that dehumanise, silence, and harm.  Free speech is vital, but we believe this platform increasingly allows unmoderated, harmful, and often explicit content to spread, with no clear way to report or block it effectively. That is not a safe space for survivors. We cannot continue to actively use a platform that enables these harms to thrive. From today, we will no longer be posting or moderating this account. You can still find us on our other social channels or contact us via our website at safelives.org.uk—where we will continue championing survivor voices, advocating for change, and pushing for urgent action to break the cycle of abuse for good.
