@RVHenderson @franfraschilla Because it could be one hell of a couple of years. The school I graduated from recently went DI. The women have had no problem already winning the conference. The men’s team is awful and non competitive. If you could get 2-3 guys for one year that are good, you take it.

@franfraschilla But, why should a D-1 school outside of the top 6-7 conferences sign a high school player when (if he has decent talent) he will leave after 1 or 2 seasons?

It’s really sad, but after the first recruiting weekend for the 2027 high school class, I had a couple of coaching friends tell me this week they can only take one or two high school players because they have to save spots for the transfer portal. I guess these kids have to go to lower levels and work their way up. A very small percentage will stay anywhere for four/five years. The new normal. 🤷🏼‍♂️🏀

One of the most false narratives in the LeBron fan library is that the Spurs put all 5 guys on LeBron. It's absolutely retarded. LeBron was a HEAVY high screen and roll spammer back then and his jumper was broke, so all the Spurs did was put Bruce Bowen in his face and have a big show high to prevent him from driving off the screen and roll. Look at the video below and watch how many times Duncan or another Spurs big jumps out on the pick and roll to prevent or discourage the drive, and then get back to their man. Plus they converged on LeBron in the paint. BASIC HELP DEFENSE. They turned LeBron into a shooter and he couldn't shoot. That's why he shot 36/20/69 and they got swept.
