@tyrosretell I’d like to think that a) canon storyline happens way later or not at all, b) megumi has a non-jujutsu friend and satoru has no clue how that happened (megumi doesn’t tell him anything and maybeee he doesn’t bother asking much either)

hey so this got way longer than expected and i’m running on zero sleep (twitter removed the last few parts of it too so i had to rewrite) so sorry for any mistakes 😣

“18 years old, freshman at the University of Tokyo, orphaned, and conveniently, my dear Megumi’s friend.” Satoru grabs his phone and pulls up his conversation with Yuuji. A manic smile paints his otherwise angelic face as he sends a new message. ‘See you soon, Yuuji.’

“Just be quick, okay?” Yuuji nods and goes inside. He stops in front of the vault that has his grandpa’s name written on it. He drags a nearby chair and plops down on it, a little ‘oof’ coming out of him when he realizes the cushion isn’t as soft as he thought.

“Itadori-san, you do know what time we close, right?” she asks, but it was more of a reminder than a question. The same thing happened last year—everything had already been cleaned up and the lights were about to turn off when Yuuji arrived, but the kind woman still let him in.

The stranger, Satoru, doesn’t respond yet again, so Yuuji takes that as his cue. Three hours later and Yuuji’s back in Sendai after a year. He reaches the columbarium right before they close, and the woman at the front desk smiles at him, like she expected him to cut it close.
