David, does your 10% exclude institutional adoption? I think your explanation and the logic here only hold if the future is a smooth continuation of today. Do you think will it be the same if there’s a regime change? If governments or central banks adopt XRPL for settlement, I think demand wouldn’t scale gradually. I expect to see a Frog Leap, as we expect. Today’s price can’t reflect information that doesn’t yet exist, correct? The real question isn’t $10 or $100, or for me, $10k, but the question is what’s the probability of a monetary system shift? To me, it is 100% Markets price known probabilities, not unknown regime changes. We see that XRPL is becoming an institutional settlement infrastructure, and therefore, today’s price would be irrelevant. That’s the whole bet. So, to me, 100 USD is cheap if this shift happens. Curious to hear your take on this. Appreciate your thoughts.

I always loved the original vision of XRPL, creating a global exchange where you can hold and trade anything of value. Arthur Britto here says the obvious, XRP Ledger > XRP. It's all about the network and the quality of the ecosystem, from quality assets to great apps that make all these possible and invisible to the end users. Both XRP and XRPL should be the hidden plumbing of the real world economy, consumer and institutional finance. Conclusion? Start using the XRPL, start interacting with it, don't focus only on XRP.

I never said it will reach $1k. I said IF. My point is, if I had 5M XRP, and it went from 0.50 to $10, that is life changing money. But if you have a 5000 XRP bag, what's the point of selling for $10? $50k is not a life changing amount, maybe pay down the mortgage (after tax). My point is, 5,000 XRP gambled for many years, long term, could be worth something special one day. And the folks who say "just sell and buy again", well tax man will thin otherwise. I am not alone here, lots of people have a buy and hold strategy. If you bought XRP to 1000x your money, sorry to pop your balloon, I really doubt it will, at least not for a few more years if all goes to plan. And those mentioning @JoelKatz maths on the topic, ie 10% of people think it will go to $100 (or 10% chance, can't remember), and then saying it's worth $10, is purely to explain probability. If there is a 5% chance of it hitting $1,000 it prices XRP at $50. Make sense? The fact of the matter is, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to do your own research and formulate a plan, strategy and position. No one can tell you. Everyone keeps asking me, and others "what's the price going to be". I can share my own opinion and reasons why, if you disagree and call me an a66hole, not sure why people get so angry, but shit, no one has ever told you to buy it. Just my views, why I buy, and why I follow the tech.

It is very likely that XRP and crypto, along with the rest of the market, will see a sudden dump of 20% if the USA coalition strikes Iran. But this is just market sentiment and I am treating it as another minor bump. My mission is still on target. I have XRP in an offline wallet (not as much as lots of you!), and it will likely be inheritance for my children. The profit on the bags I have are not even worth cashing. If it ever gets to $1000, maybe 5 yrs from now, that's something worth holding for. But for me, less than that is worthless (at my bag level) Not financial advice, just sharing my strategy and predictions, DYOR
