He says there's a reason the state provided cross-references to every piece of evidence they offered, "because what the attorneys say doesn't matter. And there's a reason defense counsel didn't cite you to the evidence." Bloodworth says a lot of the evidence is circumstantial. "It is. People do not video themselves poisoning their spouse. @LawyerYouKnow As a member of the jury I would find this aggravating and insulting. If a defense attorney couldn't prove their case without burying jurors in nonsense, I would hold it against them.

Some defense attorneys love to muck it up - asking for 7.5 hours or 1000 pages to be published to the jury. If they agree to send the entirety back I think whatever effect anyone hoped for might be lost. Sometimes making trial miserably difficult can have its advantages. My dad loves to do this. It is very exhausting.
