@MichaelZarick @DanielZarick yes and that’s why they’re so unpopular. dating apps like Hinge that realize it’s better to do a good job and retain a customer in the long term than to do a bad job and retain a customer in the short term are the future of online dating

@DanielZarick Is not the purpose of said dating apps to make successful matches as difficult as possible because then you lose a customer?

Online dating feels ripe for a fresh take. The existing swipe/match apps are exhausted & exhausting. Nobody enjoys them, and they don’t even seem to work well anymore (anecdotally based on number of friends meeting their partners now vs previously).

@DanielZarick I always thought the GOAT dating app would let you connect other apps like Spotify, Soundcloud, Insta, Twitter, Netflix etc. and use that dataset as part of DNA when matching. For a lot of people I bet similar media consumption is a high predictor of compatibility (esp music).
