i feel so bad for this guys because having a bunch of south east asians swarm your mentions and qrt is literally one of the worst experiences you can have on this website. they were like contacting my mom bc i said hudson williams could stand to lose 10 pounds.

I worked really hard on developing a vegan ube ice cream recipe for work and look how pretty she is! Zero artificial colors or flavors, and maybe the perfect special to bridge AAPI and Pride months.

We cannot allow a fat gap. Several countries that have never become obese like America has are going to skip it entirely and forever be skinny, even as they get rich. America must catch up. We need an easy-to-use, low-cost generic GLP-1, and we need it fast.

@Cassperture I don’t understand why you would accuse me of dishonesty without outlining my incentive in that. I find your mind to be nobly honest, humble, nimble, and discerning, and I would like such people to be happy, and I would not sacrifice honesty to get there. I’m sorry if I came off

@RealWickedCloth @Cassperture So, I understand wanting clarity and honesty about this. If a 5’3” person interacted with me who looked like Cass, there’s no way I would think “male”. You’re allowed to not believe me, and I’m obviously not representative of every observer. Just my 2 cents, though.

@RealWickedCloth @Cassperture Well, there are 2 sides(“you obviously look like a woman, and any masculine features are part of normal variation”) and (“you’re a man and look like it obviously”). I’m an androgynous man who has always been read as female 20-30% of the time, and I’m self-conscious about it.

@alz_zan @Cassperture I’m not an omniscient god. Ofc, looking at a photo is less indicative than interacting with a person irl, but I’m telling you what I actually think. I have no interest in hug boxing. I just think a forced humility is extremely noble, and I like that a lot.

@hexbexwhex @Cassperture Why would you lie though? That person is right and is very identifiable as a man at one glance. There is no meanness in that statement, it is just factual. What good does it achieve to push that delusion on him? Where is the kindness in that?

@Cassperture That’s not a hug boxing opinion. I just find intentional avoidance of unrealistic grandiosity and clear effort together to be very compelling, very human, and extremely respectable. I have no incentive to care as a cis man who is largely fatalist and apolitical.

@Cassperture I’m going to be so real w/ you. When I see you, I just think of a rich somber girl w/ good fashion & an interesting mind who has sort of horsey features. Jaw, midface, thicker neck, etc., obviously, but unless I saw your Adams Apple or your voice is off, I wouldn’t think “man”:

@ArtemisConsort ). There are initiatives to push for making data centers cover the cost of new infra being built largely to service their excess demand, but the worry of losing their presence in the state is a meaningful counterweight. I don’t think this is presently a significant residential

@hexbexwhex Honestly someone was like: it’s about making normal things feel like luxuries. I’m sorry but I’m 43 and I don’t recall a time in my life where eating lunch out every single day wasn’t a luxury.

“The big corporations win when you make your own lunch” How!? You’re giving them less of your money? You hate the corporations so much? Stop working for them. Stop giving your money to them, or at least give them less. Stop buying their stocks. Yup, it’s hard and it’s also the only way anything will change. But people will do ANYTHING but inconvenience themselves.

@Corbienest It makes me wonder when Americans/Westerners got so rich that eating out wasn’t a treat and became a normal part of their week.

@Corbienest This type of complaint never seems to come from those who are the most self-sufficient(ie growing a lot of their own food and investing in their own family businesses/real estate rather than have their net worth in stock).

@crogers_htown @ArtemisConsort @wil_da_beast630 *shrug* perhaps b/c of immediate hunger and lack of permanence and being able to reify a meal as an experience, I definitely would feel more wasteful spending $40+ on a service I can do on a day off or on clothes I don’t need than if I got pricier takeout.

@hexbexwhex @ArtemisConsort @wil_da_beast630 These people aren’t broke. And they’re not lazy. And they’re very smart and frugal in other places. (Like mowing yards and doing their own repairs / maintenance.) It’s just a weird phenomena
