The 5-day Training Programme on “Data Analytics” for Indian Defence Accounts Service Probationers commenced today at the International Centre for Information Systems & Audit (iCISA), Noida. The programme is being attended by 14 IDAS probationers and is designed to strengthen their capabilities in data-driven auditing, digital governance, and modern analytical techniques. Through expert-led sessions and hands-on learning, participants will gain exposure to Data Analytics in Auditing, Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), Tableau-based Data Visualization, IDEA software, Risk Assessment, Audit Sampling, and real-world case studies. @IndiaCAG

As part of the three-day study visit to SAI India (@IndiaCAG), iCISA had the privilege of hosting the high-level delegation from SAI Morocco today at its Noida campus. The visit included an overview of iCISA’s global capacity-building initiatives in Information Systems Audit & Emerging Technologies, followed by an interactive campus tour and discussions on strengthening international collaboration in public sector auditing. @IndiaCAG

The 5-day Training Programme on Financial Auditing, organised by CoEFA in collaboration with iCISA, successfully concluded today at iCISA, Noida. The concluding session was graced by Shri Guljari Lal, ADAI (State Commercial), who shared valuable insights on strengthening audit quality through robust documentation, variance analysis, effective desk review, adherence to established audit protocols, and enhanced scrutiny in certification audits of SPSEs and SABs. Over the course of the programme, IA&AS officers engaged in intensive sessions on ERP-based auditing, IT General Controls (ITGC), fraud risk assessment, data analytics, and Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), guided by eminent faculty and domain experts. The programme served as a significant platform for strengthening professional competencies and advancing excellence in public financial oversight.

The 5-day Training Programme on Financial Auditing (4–8 May 2026), organised by Centre of Excellence in Financial Audit, Hyderabad, in collaboration with iCISA was inaugurated by Shri Naveen Singhvi, Principal Director (Commercial II & IFA) today. Bringing together IA&AS officers from across the country, the programme offers a rich learning experience—covering financial statement analysis, ERP-based auditing, IT General Controls (ITGC), fraud risk, data analytics, and in-depth sessions on Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), supported by practical case studies. Led by eminent faculty and domain experts, the programme aims to strengthen audit capabilities and promote excellence in public financial oversight.

IS Wing of @IndiaCAG has launched a focused 2-day OIOS Workshop on Incident Handling Functions, empowering Core Group members to efficiently report and resolve operational issues within OIOS. Aligned with the “One IAAD One System” vision of Comptroller and Auditor General of India, the initiative builds on 100% OIOS operationalisation and the rollout of CAG Connect. Batch 1 (27–28 April) brings together 39 participants from 20 Audit Offices for hands-on sessions covering incident management across audit modules—from planning to execution and follow-up—ensuring seamless digital audit processes nationwide. The International Centre for Information Systems & Audit, Noida, is conducting a five day Training Programme on “Role of Audit” (20–24 April 2026) for newly recruited Group ‘A’ Officers (Probationers) of the Military Engineering Services. The programme offers comprehensive insights into audit processes, internal controls, ethics in governance, performance and compliance audit, data analytics, procurement, contract management, and audit of works and fraud. Such structured exposure to audit frameworks equips MES officers with critical skills to enhance transparency, ensure financial prudence, and strengthen decision-making in field operations. @IndiaCAG

The Strategic Orientation Workshop on Strengthening IS Audit for the Community of Practitioners (CoPs) – State Audit Offices, organised by the IS Wing of @IndiaCAG, concluded yesterday after an intensive four-day programme held from 6–9 April 2026 in hybrid mode. The workshop brought together over 70 Officers from State Audit Offices across the country to strengthen the IS Audit ecosystem at the field level. The workshop covered a wide range of themes including the strategic role of CoPs in IS audit planning, execution, and reporting; international benchmarking with global best practices; data analytics, handling of PII data under the DPDP framework and cybersecurity audit. Thematic domain sessions on eProcurement, CCTNS, and NGDRS/ LR&S audits enabled participants to engage in focused peer discussions, with field audit parties from over 25 State Offices joining virtually. The valedictory session, addressed by Director General Shri B. K. Mohanty, underscored that more than a formal committee, it is the activation of a high-velocity Community of Practitioners (CoP). By uniting the country’s leading IS Audit practitioners, the aim was to create a permanent synergy to drive consistency in reports, push the frontiers of advanced audit techniques, and mainstream technical innovations with a rapid turnaround. Through this continuous, real-time engagement between State Audit Offices and the CTO Wing, @IndiaCAG is institutionalizing a living ecosystem of professional excellence. @IndiaCAG

The Valediction Ceremony of the 169th International Training Programme on “IS Audit & Use of Emerging Technologies in Audit” was held today at iCISA under the ITEC Programme of the Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India. The ceremony was graced by Shri Pravir Pandey, Additional Deputy C&AG (Railways), who highlighted the growing role of AI and digital ecosystems in auditing, emphasizing the need for integrated, technology-driven audit approaches that enhance governance and ease of doing business. The Theme Country Day of Kazakhstan was celebrated today at iCISA as part of the 169th ITP on IS Audit & Use of Emerging Technologies in Audit under the ITEC Programme of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The event was graced by Mr. Sanzhar Ualikhanov, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Kazakhstan, who shared insights on India–Kazakhstan strategic relations, digital transformation and AI-led governance initiatives in Kazakhstan. Mr Gabiden Zhaxylykov, participant from Kazakhstan, presented a detailed overview of the Supreme Audit Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan, highlighting the country’s modern two-tier state audit system, digital technologies in public administration, the use of AI-enabled audit tools and integrated information systems in public sector auditing. In his concluding remarks, Shri B. K. The 168th International Training Programme on Audit of Social Sector Schemes at iCISA concluded today, marking the culmination of an intensive two-week journey for 27 participants from 16 countries under the ITEC framework. The valediction ceremony was graced by Shri Ravindra Pattar, Additional Deputy Comptroller & Auditor General (NR), as the Chief Guest, and Shri Saurabh Narain, Director General (iCISA). Participants engaged in comprehensive sessions on governance initiatives, INTOSAI frameworks, risk assessment, audit design matrices, social audit practices, and auditing flagship social sector schemes. The second week featured hands-on training in Power BI and discussions on the use of emerging technologies in audit. Mariano Agustín Caucino, Ambassador of Argentina to India, delivered an insightful address and engaged in an in-depth interaction with participants from 16 nations. He highlighted the strong India–Argentina strategic partnership, growing trade, cooperation in lithium, energy, defense & nuclear technology, and emphasized the importance of South–South collaboration and strengthening platforms like the G20. Gracing the occasion, Chief Guest Dr. Rukmini Banerji, CEO of Pratham Education Foundation, highlighted the importance of global collaboration, noting that countries across the world were facing similar challenges in education and social development, and collective learning was essential to move from schooling for all to learning for all.
