The 5-day Training Programme on “Data Analytics” for Indian Defence Accounts Service Probationers commenced today at the International Centre for Information Systems & Audit (iCISA), Noida. The programme is being attended by 14 IDAS probationers and is designed to strengthen their capabilities in data-driven auditing, digital governance, and modern analytical techniques. Through expert-led sessions and hands-on learning, participants will gain exposure to Data Analytics in Auditing, Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), Tableau-based Data Visualization, IDEA software, Risk Assessment, Audit Sampling, and real-world case studies. @IndiaCAG

The 5-day Training Programme on Financial Auditing, organised by CoEFA in collaboration with iCISA, successfully concluded today at iCISA, Noida. The concluding session was graced by Shri Guljari Lal, ADAI (State Commercial), who shared valuable insights on strengthening audit quality through robust documentation, variance analysis, effective desk review, adherence to established audit protocols, and enhanced scrutiny in certification audits of SPSEs and SABs. Over the course of the programme, IA&AS officers engaged in intensive sessions on ERP-based auditing, IT General Controls (ITGC), fraud risk assessment, data analytics, and Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), guided by eminent faculty and domain experts. The programme served as a significant platform for strengthening professional competencies and advancing excellence in public financial oversight.

The Strategic Orientation Workshop on Strengthening IS Audit for the Community of Practitioners (CoPs) – State Audit Offices, organised by the IS Wing of @IndiaCAG, concluded yesterday after an intensive four-day programme held from 6–9 April 2026 in hybrid mode. The workshop brought together over 70 Officers from State Audit Offices across the country to strengthen the IS Audit ecosystem at the field level. The workshop covered a wide range of themes including the strategic role of CoPs in IS audit planning, execution, and reporting; international benchmarking with global best practices; data analytics, handling of PII data under the DPDP framework and cybersecurity audit. Thematic domain sessions on eProcurement, CCTNS, and NGDRS/ LR&S audits enabled participants to engage in focused peer discussions, with field audit parties from over 25 State Offices joining virtually. The valedictory session, addressed by Director General Shri B. K. Mohanty, underscored that more than a formal committee, it is the activation of a high-velocity Community of Practitioners (CoP). By uniting the country’s leading IS Audit practitioners, the aim was to create a permanent synergy to drive consistency in reports, push the frontiers of advanced audit techniques, and mainstream technical innovations with a rapid turnaround. The Valediction Ceremony of the 169th International Training Programme on “IS Audit & Use of Emerging Technologies in Audit” was held today at iCISA under the ITEC Programme of the Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India. The ceremony was graced by Shri Pravir Pandey, Additional Deputy C&AG (Railways), who highlighted the growing role of AI and digital ecosystems in auditing, emphasizing the need for integrated, technology-driven audit approaches that enhance governance and ease of doing business. The Theme Country Day of Kazakhstan was celebrated today at iCISA as part of the 169th ITP on IS Audit & Use of Emerging Technologies in Audit under the ITEC Programme of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The event was graced by Mr. Sanzhar Ualikhanov, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Kazakhstan, who shared insights on India–Kazakhstan strategic relations, digital transformation and AI-led governance initiatives in Kazakhstan. Mr Gabiden Zhaxylykov, participant from Kazakhstan, presented a detailed overview of the Supreme Audit Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan, highlighting the country’s modern two-tier state audit system, digital technologies in public administration, the use of AI-enabled audit tools and integrated information systems in public sector auditing. In his concluding remarks, Shri B. K. The 168th International Training Programme on Audit of Social Sector Schemes at iCISA concluded today, marking the culmination of an intensive two-week journey for 27 participants from 16 countries under the ITEC framework. The valediction ceremony was graced by Shri Ravindra Pattar, Additional Deputy Comptroller & Auditor General (NR), as the Chief Guest, and Shri Saurabh Narain, Director General (iCISA). Participants engaged in comprehensive sessions on governance initiatives, INTOSAI frameworks, risk assessment, audit design matrices, social audit practices, and auditing flagship social sector schemes. The second week featured hands-on training in Power BI and discussions on the use of emerging technologies in audit.
