What’s up with people no longer stopping at zebra crossings please? It’s like British society is breaking down or something.

I've long said we're at risk of losing essentially everything due to global heating - all of modern life, much of life on Earth, billions of human lives, our super habitable planet. More and more climate scientists are coming to see this. Please start listening

@scattydove The BBC website has Alcaraz v Muller on Friday. With all the delayed matches, some R2 matches had to be put back a day. Hopefully, they put Carlito on Centre this time.

@jackelliot2012 @ViewFromTheQ @scattydove Hey! Thinking of coming down Thursday evening but won’t arrive till 8:30 ish, would I still be able to camp at this time? Is there a cut off time where they won’t allow people to camp f.e it being too late?

Yesterday parts of the US south experienced wetbulb temperatures up to 94F (34.5C). At these temperatures, no amount of shade or hydration can save you. Without AC, you die. And this is just the beginning. ko-fi.com/post/Deadly-we…

@Dark__Wulf @MeggGawat @TheCartelDel Japanese food culture also values purity and simplicity of ingredients as well as rawness or minimal processing; arguably this why it is lauded in Europe as another, legitimate “haute cuisine” aside from our own, while other non-European cooking is not – the outlook fits. @Dark__Wulf @MeggGawat @TheCartelDel Many of these look like normal European dishes to me. Not sure exactly how you’re defining “ethnic”. But anyway, the onigiri in the first picture is in some ways a truly classic “white people food”, as far as the meme goes – despite being literally Japanese (1/2)

There's a new trend in China where people make and eat spiceless "white people lunch", as form of self torture. And their commentary has me crying 😭

1/ I've said this before, many times, but let me be very clear: H5N1 is closer than it has ever been - by an order of magnitude - to mutating to efficient human to human transmission. If that occurs - and remember, it could occur today - globally, we could not be in a worse...

@Centrefuter @bertil_hatt Why the hell would you listen to what a Wall Street oil baron has to say about this topic rather than countless actual climate scientists?

I’m godfather to my friends little girl and I could fucking scream at people for not waking up and getting on the streets. Do people not understand or are just so numb to reality or too selfish to see what’s coming for our young people, and all of us? This guy is a scientist

@zcarbon58 @RogerHallamCS21 If I say “you will miss your flight if you don’t leave for the airport in the next 10 minutes”, and 11 minutes later you say “Ha, look, the plane hasn’t taken off yet!”, have you really proven me wrong?

It's all ritual now. Their words have been said too often. Their meaninglessness has sent the world to sleep, which was the plan all along. Everyone just waits for death. theguardian.com/environment/20…

@isaac_kh @ellaisrlyonline Right. But until such a time as provision of NHS psych services is anywhere close to adequate, the material consequence of attempts like this to discredit private psychiatry – even though it *is* often v questionable! – is to restrict and undermine many people’s access to support

This article can be summarised as: BBC journalist lies about experiencing ADHD symptoms, has two people fill out friend & family forms to back up fake symptoms, and then is shocked to find he gets diagnosed with ADHD? Hope this was worth your journalism degree mate
