IIIT-Delhi hosts the inauguration of the India Chapter of the International Communication Association @icahdq on its campus today. This initiative marks a significant milestone in the development of the communication and media studies and research landscape in India and beyond, with the cooperation of leading scholars and institutions in India. Prof. @noshir (Past President & Member, Executive Committee, ICA) launched the India chapter with a brief introduction of ICA. Mr. Kiran Karnik, Chairperson, IIIT-Delhi also graced the event with his presence. He delivered a talk on “Satellite Instructional Television Experiment (SITE) and Beyond: The Crucial Role of Communication Research in a Changing World.” Heading the India Centre is Professor BP Sanjay from Manipal Institute of Communication, Manipal, supported by Co-Vice Chairpersons Professors Vinod Pavrala and @usharaman from the University of Hyderabad. The chapter's leadership team includes General Secretary @drpadmarani, Director @micmanipal and Co-Treasurers Venkata Ratnadeep Suri, Assistant Professor from IIIT-Delhi and Professor Bishwajit Das from Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi.
