She is building AI-powered software for operating large-scale battery energy storage systems to help electricity grid operators improve reliability and cost. How cool! @tokenbender Classic example of "Throwing multiple things at the wall to see what sticks" Perplexity and their investors realized they have no moat after every other LLM has added the functionality to search the web.

perplexity seems to be on a path to be a case study. i will not elaborate.

@AravSrinivas I (painfully) use only web version - both MacOS and iOS apps are lagging behind compared to the web app: 1. Model selector - missing 2. Focus selector - missing

The latest version of the Perplexity Mac app is a lot better! ⌘ + ⇧ + P is the shortcut. It's much faster; you can type the question in your current window without leaving. You can also invoke the new voice mode with ⌘ + ⇧ + B and continue the conversation while you work. ⌘ + ⇧ + 0 lets you share screen and ask stuff. From now on, just @ me for specific bugs.
