It’s not about a sleeveless blouse, it’s not about empowerment either. It’s about judgement. Women are incessantly judged for everything and anything. It can be open hair, red lipstick, wearing a dupatta but on the neck , heck I have seen women being judged on nail paint.

@dyaiyer This movie should open conversations around lives of single women/mums in a man’s world. A sensitively made film which exposes perception and society at large.

Been raised by a single mother, #MaaBehen touched on experiences that were difficult for me to understand as a child. The film sheds light on the patriarchal attitudes deeply rooted in our society & the challenges women continue to face because of them.

Watched Ma Behen last night. not a movie that fits the box of feminism. But thats the point. It is a movie about women who don't fit into a box, and whose feminism is all about just living their lives. Could have been made slightly better, But it was still an enjoyable 2 hours
