We tried permanent Daylight Savings Time in the 70's and it was such a disaster that it was repealed in less than a year - the better choice is to lock the clock on permanent Standard Time: dailysignal.com/2026/05/21/tim…

@patrickDurusau Well, it’s only been about 2 mins since I commented and it was right after you replied. So, no. Not enough time to research it. I’ll dig into it.

For 10 years, women have been allowed to fill all combat roles in the US military. Should they continue or should the positions go back to men only?

@El_King888 @end3of6days9 you don't paint a metal mobile home. If she has been in it for 20 years she has put a lot of work into it.

The kids are/were embarrassed. I’m sorry, it didn’t have to look that crappy. She could paint. She’s lazy and made no attempt to just fix it up on her own. She can spin it however she wants. There’s a term for people that keep up appearances of inexpensive homes. It’s called pride of ownership.

This woman was feeling a little embarrassed to show where she lives… but once you hear the full picture, it’s actually something she should feel proud of. She bought her small 1972 single-wide trailer over 20 years ago for just $1,500. It’s completely paid off, and her property taxes for the entire year are only about $17. Because of that simple choice, she’s been able to stay home with her boys their whole lives. While so many people are stretched thin with big mortgages and high property taxes, she’s living with real freedom and very little financial pressure. There’s nothing to be embarrassed about when your home has given you that kind of peace and time with your family. She’s actually ahead in ways a lot of people aren’t. Have you ever felt self-conscious about something that, when you really look at it, turned out to be one of your biggest blessings?

@dunyasalbilim My dad worked with mercury he got mercury on his wedding band tried to save it by heating it up over an opened flame. My Mom bought him a platinum band a couple of years later since mercury would not damage it.

@CoreChamber @MatrixMysteries Yes I have lived through a recession, the collapse of the oil industry in a state whose main income was oil. This is what it looked like. People fled our state but now it is the whole country no where to flee to. This economy is going to hurt a lot of people

A 16-piece meal at Popeyes is now over $50. A BUCKET of chicken… over $50. Fast food used to be the cheap, quick option. This isn’t just inflation. It’s price gouging.

@CoreChamber @MatrixMysteries People are buying less, people are putting groceries on credit, that can only last a few months. I lived through a recession this is what it looked like. Nobody buying homes or cars, we were all just hanging on by our fingernails

@lsferguson I remember as a child, in the late 50s, early 60s getting dressed up in our Sunday clothes to attend a theater and dinner in Detroit for our birthday celebrations. Our family fled the East side of MI in 1972.

On opening day, the Boston Red Sox posted this video. It had unintended consequences. It showed what the 1950's looked like and what we have lost. If you haven't seen it, watch! It is eye opening what our government has taken from us

Senator Tuberville says Democrats should “shut the hell up” about Trump’s plan to hand out $1.8 billion to alleged victims of government weaponization because Democrats spent $7 trillion:  That is what we are up here for. We fund Ukraine, Europe, NATO but when it comes to America not one time in six years other than the big beautiful bill have we done one thing to help the American people. President Trump is exactly right—let's help these people get back on their feet and tell the Democrats to shut the hell up because they almost ran this country into the ground by spending $7 trillion we never should have touched.

The problem is that to many lie so we tend to not believe a single thing because men have died from bf, brothers, uncles and dads who believe them when later it’s discovered it wasn’t true! People also have lost everything like there jobs, careers etc for lies so because we are a species who isn’t very smart but we’re good at recognizing patterns we tend to not take it seriously unless there’s actual hard proof of it

Grinding your penis against women without consent is sexual assault. It doesn’t become “harmless” just because it happens in public. Y’all minimize these behaviors because they don’t fit your narrow idea of assault, and that normalization is exactly the problem. Sexual violation without consent is still assault, even if society has normalized it for women and girls for years. The problem is that society treats many forms of sexual violation against women as “not serious enough,” and too many people pretend not to understand that.

Supply & demand sets not just the cost of goods & services! It sets the cost of labor too. Boomers, just like those that worked at Sears, earned a decent living wage. Connect the dots to understand why. They were the beneficiaries of immigration being turned off in the early 1900s. That era ended for following generations by turning it back on starting in 1965, and opening the flood gates in the 1990s.

When I worked at Sears in the early 90's, the people there built entire lives off those jobs. The guy running appliances had three kids, coached little league every weekend, and retired after 32 years with a pension. One of the women in customer service bought her first house working full-time there, and the older guy in hardware took the same vacation to the Ozarks every summer because he could actually afford to unplug for a week. The managers knew everybody by name, the Christmas bonuses actually meant something, and the store was packed every holiday season because business was booming. Nobody thought they were "stuck" working retail - it was honest work that paid enough to live with dignity. Somewhere along the way, corporations started making record profits while the people keeping the place running could barely afford rent. When exactly did a steady full-time job stop being enough to build a normal life?

trump skipping his own son’s wedding, jd vance and hegseth rushing back to the white house, and b-2 bomber videos dropping is not random. something massive is clearly about to happen, most likely iran getting the business end of american power. 47 doesn’t cancel family events and send the war cabinet scrambling for fun. the adults are in the room and they’re done with the fucking games. the world is finally bout to remember what real leverage looks like.

@TheDoctorRegen @CindyontheBay This is what liberal policies do. And now, the people in the bottom picture continue to vote for Democrats who will continue to give them the welfare they exist on, while Republicans want to take them back to the top picture.
