Prominent loyalist spokesperson, frequently promoted by @BBCNolan , News Letter & the main unionist parties, accused this man of “clearly being compromised” & “sacrificing his career for Celtic.” They should address these scandalous allegations.

I’m seeing a wile lot of this from unionist politicians & not a lot of ‘making NI work’ 😂 Too much like hard work lads? Too actually impossible to do? So just obsess over the ambition & aspiration of an increasing number of people here? Aye, that’ll work. Well done youssins 👏🏻😂

Things you learn in Ireland… There’s a rumour Guinness are lowering the logo on their glasses each year so folks that try and “split the G” drink faster and buy more pints. Here’s a look at a 2018 glass (left) vs a 2022 glass (right). It was noticeably lower.

@JonBurrowsMLA Few people realise this. But the question for me is when can we ever expect to see a 10/15/20yr plan to improve infrastructure in NI?

We are not building enough houses. One major reason is our sewage system is at capacity & planning applications are not passing. Getting on the housing ladder is getting more difficult for young people because we are not dealing with key infrastructure issues.
Belfast Telegraph@BelTel

Northern Ireland house prices have had the highest annual increase in the UK at nearly 8pc. According to Friday’s index from lender Halifax, the average house price climbed 7.6pc over the year to April, reaching £224,851. belfasttelegraph.co.uk/business/ni-re… belfasttelegraph.co.uk/business/ni-re…

Jon Burrows said that his standards are so high that no one would use misogynistic language in front of him. He also happily flew to the USA for St Patrick’s Day to shake the hand of President Trump who regularly uses misogynistic language against women he doesn’t like.

If you believe the language of this land is ‘foreign’, you’re simply saying something about yourself & your relationship with this place. Any wonder this party has one elected rep with this pathetic nonsense.

Journey times for some trains between Belfast and Dublin could be cut to under two hours as a result of a new £548m investment. Eight new inter-city trains are due to become available in late 2028 and the aim is to try to speed up the service.

STOP 🇮🇪🇵🇸🇱🇧🇨🇩
The Irish people alive today, are here because their great great great grandparents survived starvation. These people watched their friends, neighbours and family die of starvation. It was not a famine, it was a genocide. The English queen made sure that their food was taken as usual to England while the potato crop failed, the only thing the native Irish were permitted to keep. If any Irish people feel a closeness to loud and outspoken groups who tell you that it is not our concern what is happening in Gaza, or Sudan, or Iran, Lebanon, Syria, Congo, Myanmar, let me say it very clearly: you have forgotten your history, your reason for existing, and your culture. Irish people are known for resilience against oppression. You can have criticism and anger at immigration and still support the oppressed and dispossessed of this planet.

@duponline @gordonlyons1 So all these documents being shared with the funding officially awarded have no weight. SF withdrew the funding via the dept of finance on their own pet project then blamed the DUP. Wild stuff

Unfortunately for Sinn Fein and Colm Gildernew the facts don't suit their attempts to whip up a storm around funding for the placenames project. If they're looking for someone to blame then they need to look a lot closer to home. @gordonlyons1

Sinn Féin will not accept this disgraceful decision and will work to ensure the Place-Name Project can continue its vital work. I am demanding that Gordon Lyons appear before MLAs tomorrow to answer for it. There is no going back to the days of Unionist misrule.

Last night I watched a few episodes of the BBCNI documentary series 'Peelers' (on BBC iPlayer). It's about the PSNI in Belfast. Whilst watching, it occurred to me that the scumbags the officers were having to deal with, are the same type of people who have trolling accounts on X. I'm well aware of the dregs of society that can be encountered around Belfast but when you sit and watch it on your TV screen for over an hour, it does occur to you that they are a different species and it's like watching a wildlife documentary. The police officers and Stephen Nolan are the equivalent of David Attenborough.
