Today’s nationwide one-day strike under the banner of UFBU has been a resounding success, sending a loud, clear, and unmistakable message in support of our legitimate and long-pending demand for 5 Days Banking. *On behalf of @aiboc_ms1 and @BOIOAMNG, we place on record our heartfelt gratitude and deep appreciation to all members who participated wholeheartedly in the strike and joined the rally in huge, disciplined, and spirited numbers, making the Dharna at the historic Azad Maidan, Mumbai, truly impactful and memorable.* *The roaring and resolute presence of BOIOA Mumbai–Goa Unit members was particularly inspiring.* It reflected the unity, conviction, and unwavering solidarity of our cadre towards the common cause of 5 Days Banking, a commitment that has long remained pending despite repeated assurances. *This collective action once again reaffirms an undeniable truth — unity is our greatest strength. At the same time, today also calls for quiet introspection by those who chose to remain indifferent*. Hard-fought and legitimate demands are not secured through passive expectation, but through shared resolve, active participation, and collective responsibility. The struggle does not end here. If the Government continues to remain indifferent and fails to honour its commitment, we must be prepared for further, stronger, and more decisive agitational programmes.
