Then I came across a tweet from Jack (@thecultof).
One screenshot instantly changed everything. What I saw wasn’t just a spreadsheet.

Could potentially cover at LB as well as be a CB as plays in a 3 so covers that channel a lot. Just not sure he’s that good. Positionally a bit suspect but nice enough on the ball & can compete in the air

It's also the 10th-most in Everton's squad.

@jackowills22 Angus Kinnear went on Toffee TV in September and said that is how they would be judging the signings.
By that measurement, Barry, Grealish and KDH are the only successes from last summer.

We also need a 2nd option at RB that won’t take away from the team’s strength in other positions ie (garner or O’Brien)

Managing Spurs/Chelsea/Everton is a completely different beast to managing Brentford/Brighton/Bournemouth.

@PatricRidge @SteveKelly86 Massive drop off. Not just points performances as well for me. I feel like this summer is the time to act for a change. We’ve had 48 points last 3 years and finances are sound now. He’s shown this year he isn’t willing to play ball with youngsters developing.

@jackowills22 @SteveKelly86 Everton took 31 points from first 19 under Moyes, 28 from the next 19, then it's 21 points from the next batch of 18 games. Back half of the season there's been a drop off (post a January window where the club should have acted IMO)

Sean Dyche averaged 1.1 points per game.
Moyes average 1.4 points per game.
Dyche had 86 points in 75 matches. Moyes has 80 in 56. The end of the season has been woeful, Moyes is making some really bad decisions. But let's not be silly here.

In the short term, Grealish - Ndiaye - Bowen behind Toney, with KDH and Garner is a very exciting side.
However, they will concede so many goals unless they have very strong defenders who can defend big spaces and 1v1.

Patterson, McNeil, Aznou and Coleman leaving. Everton must get rid of the first two quickly and move on. They want Grealish, Stones, Bowen and Toney. But they need youg players like Diof at West Ham, it is too short term minded.
