Random thoughts this afternoon... The 3D printing niche on YouTube needs to expand. I can’t imagine grinding 10+ years only to plateau at 500K–1M views a month. We hit that in just a few months before realizing everyone here is stuck under the same ceiling. And in many ways, it’s self-inflicted. Too much content is held back by a small, nerdy core of viewers who hate background music, reject quality production, and call anything polished “commercial.” This isn’t just 3D printing. WhistlinDiesel once said he had to keep shooting on phones long past when he should’ve upgraded, because his audience wanted amateur, backyard chaos, even with 5 crew behind the camera. But the real issue is scale. Too many creators pour their heart and soul in, only to cap out because the core niche isn’t that deep. Content has to reach beyond the nerds who already own printers… and reach the people who don’t yet know they want one. That means making wider content where 3D printing supports the story, instead of being the whole story. Easier said than done of course. If you made it here... What do you think 3D printing content needs to do to break past the ceiling?
