@verge The tough part is even if they're technically not wrong there's public perception. This is why we have laws and judges. Just because you feel you didn't do anything wrong doesn't exempt you. Especially at that scale of a company, ignorance is taken way less seriously.

@uhp5ke @internetarchive @waybackmachine Yes it's always better to preserve historical information. News papers are more or less specifically designed to do just this. They were supposed to be a historical archive but since they update their own records we need a way to track their changes.
