It is with a heavy heart that I write this. I have just learned of the passing of Stanley Batten. You may remember I asked people for financial help towards a last holiday then Birthday cards for his Birthday. I have been asked by the family to thank you again for your generosity and those of you that sent cards, thank you so much. I am sure you will join me in wishing sincere condolences to his family. RIP Stanley.

Today, I take up my first appointment as Parish Priest, at Our Lady of Lourdes in Bishopton. Yesterday, I accidentally beheaded a statue of the Curé d’Ars, the patron saint of parish priests. I’m choosing not to read into it 😅 If you find time, please pray for me today.

Last night, I watched the responses of strangers walking towards me as I walked along a busy street behind a TIM. Here's what I observed: 1: Every. Single. Person. Clocked him. 2: Men (alone): looked bemused. 3: Men (in pairs or groups): laughed/nudged each other.

Keith the Apocalypse Bringer is a three-year-old Anglo-Nubian goat in a field in Devon. Keith should not be underestimated. Keith has been systematically dismantling the ecosystem since approximately 7am, when he ate a bramble. This is significant because bramble is an invasive scrub species that outcompetes wildflowers, reduces biodiversity, and creates dense monoculture thicket that nothing else can use. Keith ate it. Keith does this every day. Keith does not charge for this service. 8:15am - Keith ate a thistle. Thistles are also considered invasive scrub in managed pasture. Goldfinches eat thistle seeds, but Keith's grazing will ensure the pasture remains open enough for the ground-nesting birds that can't use dense scrub. Keith has not attended a conservation workshop. Keith arrived at this conclusion by being a goat. 9:00am - Keith dismantled a section of hedge. This was less helpful. Keith does not have a perfect record. 10:30am - Keith escaped the field. He was in the road for eleven minutes. He ate a neighbour's rose. This is not being counted in Keith's environmental impact assessment. 11:00am - Keith was returned to the field. Keith regarded the farmer with the specific expression of an animal that does not recognise the concept of property. 12:00pm - Keith ate more bramble. His digestive system: four stomachs, a rumen full of specialised microorganisms, the ability to extract nutrition from lignified plant matter that would defeat any other animal on this field, is converting scrub vegetation into milk with a fat content of approximately 4.5%. The milk will become cheese. The cheese will be sold at the farm shop. The farm shop is four miles away. The cheese food miles are: four. 3:00pm - Keith produced manure. The manure will grow the grass. The grass will grow the bramble. The bramble will be eaten by Keith. This system has no inputs. It has been running since goats were domesticated approximately ten thousand years ago. Keith is not aware he is saving the planet. Keith is thinking about whether the fence on the north side has a weak point. It does. Keith found it at 4:45pm. Keith got out again.

There is money in the NHS but it’s not going to patients…. Years ago when I first worked as a physio there was no private organisation in health, every penny went on clinical care. Then it started. First with the cleaners. 1/5

Some personal news ⤵️ This week I have been diagnosed with Myelofibrosis (MF) which is a rare, slow-growing chronic blood cancer. I am not quite sure what that means yet, and what the next steps are. It’s unlike me to bring anything personal to this page but I thought it’s worth saying something as my interactions on here may be put on the back burner from time to time including streaming. If anyone has been diagnosed with MPN or MF and has any advice for me I would be grateful to hear it. Cheers, Dale 💜

Question: I'm 29 and I've been dating in the DC area. I was recently dating a 33 year old lawyer. The last time we texted was 2 days ago & we were planning on going to a museum. His parents called this morning to break up with me on his behalf & stated the reason is because I'm a "huge conservative Republican woman who voted for President Trump." We had only gone out on 2 dates and were still in the talking stage. I'm confused as to why he couldn't tell me himself? Is it appropriate to use your parents like this? Wow.

If we actually taught raw, unfiltered history in schools...the blood-soaked, soul-crushing truth instead of this sanitized, revisionist horseshit...the Left would lose half its recruiting pool overnight. Teach kids what the Bolsheviks actually did: a fanatical minority of intellectuals and agitators, drunk on Marxist poison, overthrew a crumbling regime in 1917 promising “peace, land, and bread.” What they delivered was the Red Terror...Cheka death squads executing 100,000–250,000 without trial, shooting priests in the street, drowning officers tied to planks, starving entire villages into submission. Teach the psychology: how Lenin’s “vanguard” justified any atrocity as “historically necessary,” how useful idiots in the West swooned over the “workers’ paradise” while millions were worked to death in the first Gulag camps. Then show how that same Bolshevik machine birthed Stalin’s Holodomor...engineered famine in Ukraine that starved 4–6 million while grain was exported. Mao’s Great Leap Forward that killed 30–45 million in the name of “equality.” Pol Pot’s killing fields where wearing glasses got you executed. Every single time. Teach the visceral pattern: utopian promises always slide into mass graves because power concentrates, resentment is weaponized, and humanity breaks under ideology. Teach that the road to hell is paved with moral grandstanding and envy dressed as justice. But no. Instead we get 1619 Project fanfiction, endless white guilt seminars, and lessons that paint America as uniquely evil while glossing over the fact that every civilization had slavery, conquest, and brutality...ours just happened to end it while others still practice it today. We don’t teach the why of human nature: tribalism, the will to power, how demagogues exploit the eternal human weakness for free shit and revenge fantasies. So when some blue-haired activist screams “eat the rich” or “defund the police” or “from the river to the sea,” millions of historically illiterate kids nod along because they’ve never seen what those slogans actually produce when tried in the real world. They’ve never smelled the mass graves. If we taught real history...ferocious, ugly, precise../they’d recognize the Bolshevik playbook being dusted off and run again right in front of them. Instead, we raise generations of useful idiots who think they’re on the right side of history while marching straight into the same fucking slaughterhouse their grandparents escaped. The Left needs historical amnesia to survive. That’s why they fight so hard to control the curriculum. Wake the fuck up. Teach the truth, blood, horrors and all, or watch the cycle repeat with fresh corpses. Fuck this revisionist, sanitized, soft bullshit. We are raising a nation of fucking pussies and useful idiots. 💀🔪

I’m genuinely fascinated by how some of you manage to lose your entire mind over nothing. A joke. A blunt opinion. A perfectly reasonable “maybe things should be fair in Britain for everyone.” Boom—meltdown, sirens, trembling fingers smashing the reply button. Let’s get this straight: wanting fairness isn’t racism. Wanting common sense isn’t hatred. And cracking a joke isn’t a declaration of war. If you hear everything through a permanent state of offence, that’s not society’s problem—it’s yours. What I’m tired of is posting light-hearted, straight-talking stuff on X and watching the same crowd parachute in like it’s their full-time job. Pronoun police, professional victims, the permanently outraged with a Wi-Fi connection and a personality built entirely out of moral panic. Here’s a radical idea: if you don’t like it, scroll on. Nobody summoned you. Nobody asked for your lecture. You’re not the main character, and this isn’t your safe space. And just so we’re clear—you’re not intimidating anyone. We laugh at you. Genuinely. Screenshots get shared, tea gets made, and the group chat enjoys the show. You’re not changing minds; you’re confirming suspicions. The tragic irony? You lot are precisely why the UK is in the state it’s in. Everything has to be sanitised, approved, filtered, apologised for, and wrapped in cotton wool in case someone somewhere feels a bit wobbly about it. Debate dies, humour dies, backbone dies—and you clap yourselves like you’ve saved the world. So here’s the new policy: I’m done engaging. No back-and-forth, no explaining, no pandering. I’ll just block, chuckle, and picture the familiar scene—another furious essay typed from mummy’s spare room, convinced it was a brave stand rather than a public tantrum. Scroll on. Cope harder. The rest of us have a country to talk about—and a sense of humour to keep.

David Lammy has said his sinister plan to slash our right to jury trials is needed to solve the backlog of more than 80,000 cases in the Crown Court. But that’s not true, is it @DavidLammy? The Institute for Government (IfG) has said in a new report that Lammy’s controversial plan for judge-only trials will damage public confidence in the criminal justice system and will save less than 2% of time in Crown Courts. Cassia Rowland, who authorised the report, has said: “The government’s proposed reforms to jury trials will not fix the problems in the crown court. The time savings from judge-only trials will be marginal at best, amounting to less than 2% of crown court time.” We know how important jury trials are to those who have fallen victim to the authoritarian cancel-culture mob. FSU research has shown that if you are charged with a speech crime, you are almost twice as likely to be found not guilty in a Crown Court with a jury than in a magistrates’ court without one. Assisted suicide should be available to anybody having, being compos mentis, made that hard decision, with or without fatal pre-conditions. You own your own life, and the government should keep its nose out of what you decide to do with it. The NHS should not be involved, by the way, and doctors certainly not obliged to take part.

I am a committed trade unionist of 35 years standing. I am proud of everything the trade union movement has achieved throughout history. But its abandonment of women fighting to defend their sex-based rights makes me ashamed. Whenever there is a successful tribunal or court result for women - such as today, with the Darlington nurses - mainstream unions are nowhere to be seen. And invariably they lament the outcome. Women are being forced to rely on the Free Speech Union and Christian groups to fight their corner. It’s an utter disgrace.
