What started as an “interview” quickly turned into a live fact-checking session for Norwegian journalist Helle Lyng. She arrived armed with the usual toolkit, “Free Press”, “Human Rights”, and a suitcase full of assumptions, only to admit she neither visited India properly nor studied the subject seriously. That’s like reviewing biryani after smelling plain rice from outside the restaurant. Gaurie Dwivedi, meanwhile, didn’t just answer the questions, she politely bulldozed the very foundation of them. Calm, sharp, and unapologetically articulate, she exposed how selective outrage and recycled narratives are often packaged as “global concern” whenever India refuses to fit into Western stereotypes. The funniest part? The loud accusations collapsed faster than an opposition alliance after election results. What was supposed to be an attack on PM Modi ended up becoming a masterclass in how propaganda sometimes travels business class but returns economy with excess baggage. And yes, ambassadors don’t just sit in embassies. Sometimes ordinary citizens, journalists, and professionals become representatives of their nation on global platforms. Gaurie did exactly that, with facts, confidence, and without needing a lecture from people who can’t even locate half of India on a map.

Turning point for Bengal Election - There was a day during the RG Kar protests when people tried to march across Howrah Bridge towards Nabanna and the state responded with barricades, tear gas, and water cannons. And then one old man stood there. No shield. No fear. Just defiance. The water slammed into him with full force, but he didn’t move an inch. Instead, he raised his hand and mocked the very system trying to crush him questioning their courage in the most humiliating way possible…. That image burned into the minds of Bengal’s youth. That was the day many realized enough is enough….. I don’t know his name. But that old man did more in a few seconds than most leaders do in years. That wasn’t just a protester standing tall. That was the moment fear lost and Bengal began to change….. #WestBengal #ElectionResults

💔💔❤️‍🩹 Meet the little daughter of a Brahmin pujari… ⬇️ An innocent 4 year old Brahmin child , happily visiting her grandmother for summer vacation in Nasrapur, Pune but faced brutal deaths at hands of 65 yr old Dalit (Mahar) Bhimrao Kamble Bhimrao lured her, dragged her into a cowshed, stuffed her mouth with cow dung so she cud not screen, brutally raped her, smashed her tiny head with a stone, cut her into pieces and then buried her body under cow dung like trash. This is not a random crime. This is a hate crime. It’s a brutal “hisab chukta” in Ambedkar loving Maharashtra under BJPee rule.

ONE SOLDIER. ONE KHUKURI. 40 CRIMINALS. ZERO FEAR. 🇮🇳🔥 In September 2010, aboard the Maurya Express near Chittaranjan, a gang of 30–40 armed robbers turned a moving train into a mobile hell looting passengers and attempting to gang-rape an 18-year-old girl in front of her parents. Panic. Screams. Helplessness everywhere. And then ONE man stood up. Gurkha soldier Bishnu Prasad Shrestha. Indian Army. No backup. No weapon except his khukuri. No hesitation. He charged straight into the mob. What followed was sheer terror — for the criminals. • 3 attackers killed • 8 brutally injured • Entire gang fled for their lives Bleeding, wounded, yet standing — he saved the girl, crushed the attackers, and restored fear where it belonged: inside criminals’ hearts. This wasn’t a battlefield. This wasn’t duty hours. This was instinct. This was dharma. This was the Gurkha spirit. When 40 cowards hunted the helpless, ONE Indian soldier became death itself. This is what real heroism looks like. This is what Indian Army blood stands for. This is why Gurkhas are feared in war and revered in peace. SALUTE TO BISHNU PRASAD SHRESTHA. SALUTE TO THE INDIAN ARMY. 🔥

A temple in Bangalore is in need of a fridge to store flowers (phool malas) used for daily पूजा and offerings. If you have an old or unused fridge that you are planning to give away, it would be a wonderful help if you could donate it to the temple. Your small contribution can support the daily seva at the temple. *Please DM me if you have a fridge to donate.

💯Percent agree with Sir ji, This isn't about diminishing Gandhi's contribution. It's about recognizing that India's story is bigger than any single individual. Our currency should reflect the breadth of Indian excellence: science, literature, spirituality, military leadership, social reform. Every note should remind citizens of the giants whose shoulders we stand on. Other nations celebrate their polymaths and pioneers. We have the legacy. We lack the confidence to showcase it. That needs to change.

Only way to deal with rapists. In Nagpur, 200 women rushed into a court room, threw chilli powder into the eyes of local thug Akku Yadav, hacked off his penis with a kitchen knife and stabbed him to death in front of the judges and cops who had laughed at them and supported Yadav. For more than 15 years, Nagpur's Kasturba Nagar slum was terrorised by Yadav. He was a notorious rapist and murderer who committed crimes with impunity.  The people of Kasturba Nagar remained helpless as the cops and judges refused to help. At 3pm on August 13, 2005, as Yadav was being taken to court, a mob of around 200 women from Kasturba Nagar surrounded him. It took them 15 minutes to hack to death the man who raped them with impunity for more than a decade. Chilli powder was thrown in his face and stones hurled. As he flailed and fought, one of his victims hacked off his penis with a vegetable knife. A further 70 stab wounds were left on his body. The incident was made all the more extraordinary by its setting. Yadav was murdered not in the dark alleys of the slum, but on the shiny white marble floor of Nagpur district court. Laughed at and abused by the police when they reported being raped by Yadav, the women took the law into their own hands. Yadav and his gang had terrorised the 300 families of Kasturba Nagar for more than a decade, barging into homes demanding money, shouting threats and abuse. Residents say he murdered at least three neighbours and dumped their bodies on railway tracks. They had reported his crimes to the police dozens of times. Each time he was arrested, he was granted bail. But it was rape that Yadav used to break and humiliate the community. A rape victim lives in every other house in the slum. He violated women to control men, ordering his henchmen to drag even girls as young as 12 to a nearby derelict building to be gang-raped. But the 32-year-old was never charged with rape. Instead, the women say, the police would tell him who had made the reports and he would come after them. When one 22-year-old reported being raped by Yadav, the police accused her of having an affair with him and sent her away. Several others were sent away after being told: "You're a loose woman. That's why he raped you." Two weeks before the lynching, Yadav came to Usha Narayane's house on several successive days, threatening to throw acid on her and rape her. He targeted her, she says, because she was outspoken and her brother-in-law, a lawyer, had verbally stood up to Yadav. "He raped only poor people whom he thought wouldn't go and tell, or if they did, wouldn't be listened to. But he made a big mistake in threatening me. People felt that if I were attacked, no woman would ever be safe." In the week before the lynching, people started to talk about taking action against Yadav. He disappeared, sensing boiling anger. Narayane and her brother-in-law bypassed the local officers and went straight to the deputy commissioner. He gave the family a safe house for a night and promised to search for him. On August 6, hundreds of residents smashed Yadav's empty house to rubble. By evening they heard he had "surrendered" and was in custody. On the day of Yadav's hearing, 200 women came to the court armed with vegetable knives and chilli powder. As he walked in, Yadav spotted one of the women he had raped. He called her a prostitute and threatened to repeat the crime against her. The police laughed. She took off her sandal and began to hit him, shouting, "We can't both live on this Earth together. It's you or me." The mob attacked. 15 minutes later Yadav was unrecognisable. Thank you @MNightShyamalan for helping Narayane and her community. (Narayane then and now)

Twinkle Khanna romanticises India as a secular utopia because she grew up straddling two faiths, Ismaili on her mother’s side and Hindu on her father’s. Jamatkhana, temples, all neatly packaged as lived secularism. When her Ismaili (Twinkle is a Muslim from her maternal side) grandmother died, the Hindu priest came, touched her feet, walked into the kabristan, and was “permitted” to perform Hindu rituals. This, we are told, is the secularism she wants her children to inherit. Lovely. So let’s ask the inconvenient question she carefully avoids. When her Hindu father passed away, how many Imams showed up, touched his feet, and took part in Hindu rites? Secularism is not a one way courtesy extended endlessly by Hindus while others merely allow it. What @mrsfunnybones is celebrating is not secularism at all. It is Hindu tolerance, mistaken for a national virtue.

@jhindum @Dev_Fadnavis @lramovement @Kandivali_BJP Ministers know the problem but won’t upset their slum vote bank. Footpaths taken by shops, roads by hawkers and 2 wheelers parking for slum dwellers. Commuters are left with just 1/3rd of the road. Akurli Road is pure hell. Only a miracle can save us. @PMOIndia
