Cabinet has approved the Plan for the Targeted Development of Tourism Attractions in the Eastern Highlands. The Plan seeks to develop targeted tourism attractions in the Eastern Highlands corridor, which the Second Republic has identified as a tourism-designated zone with significant potential for tourism development. #PostCabinetBriefing

Manicaland has seen: •✅ Commissioning of 56,000-metric-tonne Smart Silos, boosting food security and strengthening national grain reserves. •✅ Opening of the Mega Market Flour Milling Plant, expanding agro-processing, value addition, and job creation. •✅ Activation of the Harare–Mutare Air Zimbabwe Route, improving connectivity, tourism movement, and investor access to the Eastern Highlands. •✅ Hosting of the Sanganai / Hlanganani Tourism Expo 2025, elevating Manicaland as a premier tourism and investment destination. •✅ Romsdly Irrigation Scheme nearing completion, unlocking reliable water for farmers and stimulating high-value horticulture. •🏥 Solarisation of 192 health facilities, improving essential health delivery across the province. •🏥 Installation of a 140kW solar power system at Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital, ensuring reliable power for critical medical services. •🏭 Commissioning of a new NatPharm Warehouse in Mutare, strengthening pharmaceutical supply chains and medicine distribution across Manicaland. •🌾 1.36 million Pfumvudza/Intwasa plots prepared for the 2025/26 season, supporting over 450,000 households. •🏗️ Ongoing province-wide infrastructure upgrades, including roads, logistics hubs, border modernisation, and public facilities Your thoughts?
