@cdc29 Part of the issue, which is kind of a good thing, is the difficulty that humanity major undergrads have translating the aims of undergraduate liberal learning (which might involve “passion”) to grad school professional training with its own different aims.

Reread Al Raboteau's _Slave Religion_ for something I'm working on and I'm reminded that among all the other gifts of that book, he is so committed to the full and faithful rendering of *complexity*. It's really remarkable.
