🚨 MARS HAD AN OCEAN? CHINESE ROVER DIGS UP NEW EVIDENCE Turns out, Mars might have been beachfront property billions of years ago. China’s Zhurong rover has uncovered 10-35 meter-thick sloping deposits beneath Utopia Planitia, a vast plain in Mars’ northern lowlands, resembling coastal sediments on Earth—strong evidence that a massive ocean once covered a third of the planet. For years, scientists debated the idea because Mars’ ancient shorelines didn’t quite add up. Thanks to Zhurong’s subsurface radar, researchers from China and the U.S. now say the planet likely had a long-lasting ocean, not just a short-lived puddle. Source: Xinhua
