***New Working Paper*** We study the extent and persistence of #Shecession in a panel of 38 countries. Our main findings are: ❌2/3 to 1/2 of our sample experienced she-cessions. ❌She-cessions are typically short-lived and explained by within sectors heterogeneity.

In the latest #WEO, we find that #COVID pandemic shock has highly unequal effects across workers. Youth and lower-skilled workers took some of the hardest hits. Women, especially in emerging markets and developing economies, also suffered.
