Saddened to hear of Dr. Don’s passing. He led a life of tremendous impact. On the men who played for him and the sport he loved. My condolences to the Shondell family and the @BallStateMVB community.

Last night we lost Dr. Don Shondell, founder of Ball State men’s volleyball in 1964. We owe a great deal of gratitude to Dr. Don both on personal level - kids he coached…but also for his efforts to promote our sport. Truly a pioneer for boys’ & men’s volleyball.
