We paid for Angela Rayner’s education. We paid her wages when she worked for the local council. We paid her wages when she became an MP. We even paid the settlement that enabled her to buy a house. Tax payers have funded every aspect of her entire life.
@MiracleSwing You’ve under egged it. It’s the greatest sporting event to attend. You are truly the guest for the day and not there to just bleed money from..
After attending my first Masters, I’d like to share why I believe it’s the greatest golf tournament in the world and why it’s still anyone’s tournament! 🧵🪡

@mckeown_ryan Lerner spent £300m of his on cash on team. Doug built the north stand at 3 x cost through his own construction company. First chairman to take a salary and more theguardian.com/sport/blog/200…
*Big #AVFC read*. It’s excellent news that Aston Villa is now the 18th highest revenue-generating club globally. A huge achievement to the work done on-and-off the pitch.
We’ve accelerated from the Championship to Champions League while rapidly trying to keep up commercially…
It has not been smooth. It’s had to be sharp to ensure we can fully support Unai Emery’s outstanding achievements, and ambitions. This pace causes abrupt disruption.

@Holdsworthbikes just got to Italy to do lap of lake Garda with my mystique. Built it. I’ve put the seat post into the frame and tightened up seat post clamp and over tightened and threaded the grub screw. Any ideas? It currently holding height but moving sideways. Any bodge job?
£95 for adult day 4 tickets at Lords v Sri Lanka (with huge respect) and people wonder why it’s empty?! Sports tickets/concert tickets/train tickets/eating out. The screwing of the British punter is seemingly never-ending…
The next night was more relaxing. Sweden 5 Bulgaria 0, in a ground packed with English fans, and a great display from a young Zlatan who was just about to leave Ajax for Juve. A great trip, but I don’t know if I’ve ever had a worse sensation than when I looked at that ticket. FIN
The others were heading over on Friday 11th, but I had birthday eve plans that night and was flying on the Saturday. My mate who’d got the tickets had kindly also booked the flights. I’d picked up the (paper) tickets and noted the Heathrow reference. (2/10)
