@JillianMHurley While I was at Sarasota Memorial in Florida, I asked one of the nurses what her most “memorable” case was—I thought it’d be positive. It was a 9 y/o girl giving birth in 2004, forced to carry to term for by parents (religion). She came back to ED 2 years later, DOA from suicide.

When I was a 12-year-old, my mother, a registered nurse at a local hospital, came home with a knot on her head and very distressed.
She had fainted during a delivery of a baby, to an elementary school girl.
She was a veteran but said it “tore the child apart”

The Buffalo Fire Dept has released the name of the brave firefighter who lost his life in the line of duty on March 1, 2023. Jason Arno was a member of The BFD’s Engine Co. 2 for 3 yrs. He was 37 yrs old. Everyone keep FF Arno's family and his fellow Firefighters in their prayers

As an ER doc, I can 100% tell you that after cardiac arrest, CPR and defibrillation (AED), there is no way any provider will say Damar Hamlin is ‘okay’ anytime soon.

If a cardiologist takes metoprolol, are they going to be a drug pusher for beta blockers? All cardiovascular drugs? No. They will prescribe based on the patient— same with psych.

@FEDUpRally “Fentanyl-laced products”… It is literally all pharmaceutical fentanyl for severe brathrough pain. Fentanyl is easily the #1 drug I compounded and restocked for the ER, PICU, NICU, and especially oncology. They aren’t “laced”. You’re pathetic.

@1andOnlyChrisN I worked with a psychiatrist at a hospital downtown who bragged about weaponizing the Dark Triad against patients on controlled drugs literally because he didn’t want to write controlled scripts. Reported to internal review, never saw his sociopathic ass again.

I never talk about politics here, But Marjorie Taylor Greene can go to hell. My sister desperately needed several transplants and NMDP gave us many more years with her, giving Carly time to experience a loving family and beauty’s of life. Rep has 0 care for dying cancer patients.

The House voted 415-2 to reauthorize the National Marrow Donor Program, which provides access to life-saving bone marrow, peripheral blood stem cell & cord blood transplants to those with blood disorders & cancer. The 2 “no” votes were Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert.
