This is a great story about how Trump and his family are profiting off the renaming of the Palm Beach International Airport, with the blessing of Fla Gov. Ron DeSantis. I guess everything is up for grabs in America these days, with no input from local taxpayers or voters.

Not enough people are talking about this. A Florida airport was renamed after Donald Trump. He walked away with the trademark, the licensing rights, and a deal that lets him profit off every piece of merchandise sold there. But the story of how he got it is even worse. County staff told commissioners that rejecting the name change would put state transportation funding at risk. DeSantis has already removed state attorneys and school board members who dared to cross him. That is the reality the Democratic commissioner who cast the deciding vote was living in when she made her choice: hand Donald Trump control of a public airport or watch Florida Republicans strip funding from the very people she was elected to represent. That is absolutely insane. Stop pretending this is about cracking down on fraud when Trump literally let people who stole hundreds of millions in Medicare and Medicaid money walk free. One guy stole $1.3 billion and served 14 months of a 20-year sentence. When a reporter asked the DOJ about it, they refused to answer. That’s the hypocrisy people are angry about. Republicans want to talk tough on fraud while protecting the biggest fraudsters when they’re politically connected. If fraud is wrong, then it should be wrong for everyone.

“They” didn’t leak Trump’s tax returns. An IRS contractor did - along with thousands of other tax returns - during Trump’s first term. Biden’s DOJ prosecuted the contractor, who got the max: 5 years in prison. This is shameful spin from SDNY U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton.

Jennifer Combs of Trinidad, TX was ARRESTED and charged with FELONY “false alarm” simply for posting on Facebook about residents getting hospitalized from bacteria filled drinking water. The town’s pipes are from the 1950s, they issued a boil-water notice, and TCEQ is investigating. Instead of fixing the toxic water, they threw her in jail for speaking out?!
