"El declive ético en la Real Academia de las Ciencias: Un llamado a la renovación" Hacía mucho que no publicaba un artículo en mi blog. Me hubiera gustado que fuera para hablar de ciencia pero lamentablemente a veces hay que contar cosas desagradables: tinieblasyestrellas.blogspot.com/2023/07/el-dec…

@BergvikJohnny I don't know how fancontrol works, but maybe there is some way to configure it to just control the case fan using the gpu temp sensor, leaving the control of the gpu fan to CoreCtrl. Assuming that it doesn't crash with such configuration.

@BergvikJohnny Perhaps you can configure it so it ignores the GPU fans, or this behavior is the result of a bug, so you should report it in order to be fixed. I don't know, but that weird behavior it's out of the scope of CoreCtrl.

@BergvikJohnny CoreCtrl only controls GPU fans for now. It does not touch any other fan on your system. If other fans turns off as a result of just starting CoreCtrl, then there must be something wrong with the operation of the program that you are using to control the fans.

@BergvikJohnny Why? Because this mode can be extremely dangerous in the case of coming from a profile with ventilation control to another without ventilation control.

@BergvikJohnny I have partially implemented that functionality. I'll probably add it to master although I'm afraid it won't be the selected default mode and it will have a warning message.

@LinuxReviews If you do reviews, you should be more careful and rigorous with your statements. And of course, never throw incendiary suggestions that fall apart just by reading a piece of source code.

@LinuxReviews But no worries, it will automatically killed after a period of time (configurable launching CoreCtrl with the `-t` argument) or when you start the program again, so only one instance of it is running.

@supermonkey77 @gamingonlinux With this application you can control system components. This application are not intended to control opengl options per application basis. For that purpose we already have driconf and similar applications.
