And responsible breeders are doing something about it. My family owns pugs. We’ve had 3 pugs, 2 from breeders, and 1 rescue over the last 20 years. Our first pug had a pretty smushed face. Our current pug, has a snout and none of the problems our first boy had. This happened because fans of the breed started holding breeders accountable for what they were doing. It took awhile, but you can now see the differences in the breed after just 20 years. Our first pug, Yoshi (the black pug) and our current girl, Lilith (the black and white pug).

We should stop doing this shit to dogs
