My mum was admitted on my birthday, took her home on Tuesday, and now we're taking her back to hospital as she's gotten worse again. We have no money left and still paying off loans. If you can help, please send something to 0707378401. Thank you and rt for wider reach 🙏.

I saw a post on TikTok that said we should be under thinking, and that has really changed my life as an over thinker. Like, yes, I'm still going through it but most of these things are sorting themselves out with time. Highly recommend under thinking!

The timeline is so dark and heartbreaking. You scroll, you meet a case of a grade 10 who was kidnapped, raped and killed in Vihiga. You move down a bit, you get a case of a grade 6 in Tinderet, Nakuru found dead in a maize farm. You try scrolling, you find another case of a missing child. We have really failed our children. It's so painful and heartbreaking. Innocent children who cannot even harm a fly. We need to do something as a country. This is so wrong and unacceptable. #LindaMtoto

Kenya’s crisis is not only political; it is social and moral. It is reflected in how we treat employees, neighbours, children, elders, and those in need. If we do not change the source of the polluted river, everything downstream remains poisoned.

It’s high time we start lynching rapists immediately they’re caught the way we do thieves. Hii ni mazoeano at this point. These bastards know nothing will happen to them ata wakishikwa. I’m so tired of reading this shit every single day! What the fuck!

Mnajua what's crazier? See, a grown up can walk with a pen knife or a pepper spray to at least try and defend themselves incase of any danger. But a kid? Mtoto hata mawe hawezi rusha imsaidie!! Its our responsibility to protect children. We have failed the children of Kenya!!

I'll keep saying.... A world that's hellbent on being unsafe for women and children is a world that will drink everyone's blood for breakfast. Safety should be a non-negotiable and yet it feels like something we have to beg, compromise and negotiate for.

The defeatist language Kenyans use is so exhausting. Working towards change isn't a straight line to freedom esp when the oppressor is so heavily resourced. We (un)learn, we adapt, we reset, we rest, we keep starting again.

The sad reality is that we are in cyclic loop and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Protest, people get killed and shops get looted, someone somewhere does a handshake, back to normal with no meaningful changes. Repeat.

Do you know why the state keeps y'all starving? Or sick? Or ignorant? There is no sustained resistance that can come from people fighting for their survival without even the tools to keep them from imminent death. What in our organising have we done to ensure people's survival?
Tuko Kadi 🇰🇪@TukoKadii

Kenyan working class are a stupid lot. Matatus Owners are on strike bcoz they dont want to pass the burden to the commuter. Otherwise, they’d simply hike fare prices & operate normally. Yet instead of joining the protest, some people are waiting for matatus like nothing is wrong.
