@katpowell You could try this site: thetrainline.com , my only other advice would be to buy your tickets when you arrive at a station. ^CB

@SW_Help can I book a ticket online from Canada? It won’t allow me to create an account without a UK address.

I am looking at the pre-colonial history of the Indigenous people of each province, west to east. Today I am looking at the Secwepemc people of central British Columbia! Known in English as the Shuswap People, their territory is 145,000 square kilometres in size. 🧵1/6

April 23 is WORLD BOOK DAY! 🌍 📖 📅 I am celebrating by sharing my current and favourite reads as well as my "to be read" pile with you all! My bio does not say "Avid Reader" for no reason - for those who don't know, I LOVE to read.

Just finished Enthusiasms and Loyalties by @keithsgrant. Quite an interesting book, and engagingly written. I enjoyed learning about how feelings and emotions were cultivated, and affected by, larger religious and political events in the Enlightenment Atlantic. 👍👍

It is #BlackHistoryMonth. Here is the story of the Shelburne Riots In the late-1770s & early-1780s, Black Loyalists left the United States to settle in Nova Scotia. About 1,500 Black Loyalists, some formerly enslaved, settled in Shelburne, including clergyman David George 🧵1/3
