Why is the Mirage only, peak diamond casual saying this? Because Ranked is a casual game mode in his eyes and always has been. Ranked should only ever be an introduction to competitive. That’s how it literally is in every single game with an acquainted ESport. League, CS, Val, Dota. F*cking Call of Duty even uses the exact same ruleset and game types as its counterpart the CDL 😭 Ranked = Competitive Gamemode Unranked = Casual Gamemode Why did these two ever get combined and ranked became what it is today ? It’s because of bad players like JHall complaining about it. Apex Ranked is a joke, and so its casual community. Long gone are the S13 days of actually wanting to get better. All welcome to casuals who yearn for their free ranks they “deserve”. This is why Solo only isn’t gonna work. Game is a joke.

@FadingMyst My fiancée also doesn’t just sit around the house she cooks cleans and supports me emotionally so she doesn’t fit into the catagory I’m describing. I’m strictly speaking about people who do nothing of value while the other takes care of everything cooking cleaning working etc.

📋TESTING: From June 9th to June 23rd we will be conducting the following test in Ranked: Ranked will be solo queue only for all players Diamond and above. If you are Diamond or higher, you will not be able to squad up as a premade in Ranked. Our hypotheses are that this will create more evenly matched high-skill lobbies, reduce hard-carries into Diamond, Master and Predator and build trust in the overall fairness of these matches. While this is a commonly requested feature by portions of our community, we will be closely monitoring community sentiment and match data. Note: The in-game notification that some encountered yesterday (May 19th) was a visual error, and players are currently still able to squad up without restrictions.

@_vMaddz @Alliance_Hakis Just want to clarify you are correct about this season at least for me. I didn’t fight a pred team one time this season until my first diamond game but my experience from previous seasons you are not correct.

Solo queue is amazing and 100% needed for the game to fix the power imbalance at the highest ranks so we can finally got some quality gameplay in Ranked. But Diamond should NOT be forced to solo queue, it should be only Master & Apex Pred that should be solo and then they should also only matchmake with eachother. By making Diamond solo Queue with master and pred the power imbalance doesn't get "fixed" it just becomes RNG. Everytime you queue up if you get diamond players on your team as an Apex Predator you are just creating frustration and animosity and the game is going to turn extremely toxic which is not the point of adding solo queue. Allow Diamonds to 3 stack, make Master & Pred solo queue and then let them only matchmake with eachother and I promise that the quality of Ranked is going to be insanely good while also keeping a positive and healthy environment 👍

The power imbalance that I talk about is the fact that 3 stack Apex Predators and Pro players are bullying Diamond players which is not fun for anyone. But this would just make us have to carry Diamonds instead of bully them how is that any fun aswell?
