The reported blocking of the TuKo Kadi concert team from accessing Uhuru Park, despite months of compliance with all required approvals, is deeply troubling. It reflects a worrying pattern of intolerance and state interference that undermines the freedoms of expression, assembly, and enterprise. When lawful, youth-driven initiatives are frustrated in this manner, it raises serious concerns about the direction we are taking as a country.
We must remain vigilant. This moment calls for renewed civic awareness, sustained mobilization, and deliberate civic education, especially among our young people. If public events that follow due process can be arbitrarily blocked, then we must begin to ask hard questions about the fairness of our democratic space as we approach the next elections. Kenya must be a nation where rules are respected, opportunities are protected, and every voice is allowed to be heard.

I know many will disagree with me on this, but hear me out.
Safaricom under Bob Collymore felt different.
It felt simpler, more innovative, and more customer-focused.
When Bob was in charge, many Kenyans felt proud of what Safaricom was becoming.
But ever since he passed, something seems to have shifted.
The decisions feel less connected to customers, and products like OneApp only deepen that feeling.
Maybe I’m wrong.
But I can’t be the only one who feels Safaricom lost part of its soul after Bob.

I’ve always said from time to time that these briefcase churches are just in the business of selling false hope and laundering money for politicians. Bishop Kiengei is a drunkard and a womanizer who allegedly sleeps with different women in his church. He is always fighting scandals involving inappropriate relationships of supplying high voltage electricity to various yellow yellow damsels.
These pulpit bandits swear by the Bible today, but tomorrow they do something that contradicts their teachings. The unfortunate thing is that such churches often attract members with low IQ whom they can easily manipulate and lie to. The only church that does not entertain mediocrity is the Catholic Church.
Even Muslims do not just appoint anyone to be a sheikh, they are very strict when it comes to the teachings of the Quran. But these briefcase churches have pulpit bandits preaching the word of God during the day, and at night they are fornicating and drinking premium ethanol, like Bishop Kiengei & the rest.
This Kenya needs a president like Kagame or a Muslim one who can regulate churches. Otherwise we are incubating a country that will be full of zombies. It's happening with Owuor’s church & Pastor Ezekiel's. In Western it's even worse, there are many briefcase churches operating like cults.
