So regarding the claims that Nomura used A.I to create this artwork, that is not what happened. It seems far more likely that the original artwork was drawn entirely by Nomura, but the version used for box art or promotional material was later upscaled using AI You can see evidence of this in several places. For example, Donald's left hand is not even visible in the original low resolution artwork (Original artwork). In the upscaled version, however, AI appears to have filled in the missing details and gave him 5 fingers, despite Donald Duck as usually have four fingers The same issue can be seen with the clock tower's hands. In the original artwork they appear normal, but in the AI upscaled version they become oddly curved and distorted, suggesting that the A.I was attempting to reconstruct details that were unclear in the source image In short, the original artwork appears to be fully hand drawn by Nomura.
