@junaxup I know a female founder with a Ph. d whose product is a spin out of her peer reviewed research at Purdue who had to pivot markets because of this. Moved from infectious disease to pathogens in food processing plants after receiving this comparison literally 100s of times.

I'm sick of so many female founders in the biotech space STILL getting compared to Theranos. This has to stop!
Theranos happened not because the founder was female, that VCs were sheep, or the scientists there weren't trying to do good work. Theranos happened because two individuals (one male and one female) purposely defrauded EVERYONE and shipped an ill-advised product in order to grab headlines to gain fame and fortune. Not unlike this article.
Female-founded startups are not Theranos. Sensational, click-bait articles masking themselves as science news are Theranos!

@christinaqi It's hard to see so many responses from people who lack respect for protected land. It has a unique legal status and set of rules due to its cultural and/or ecological significance. Once it has been littered and trampled, it will never be as pristine or beautiful.
