Many PDs will notice that an applicant didn’t graduate on time… and since ERAS is now silent on the issue, they’ll ask why *during the interview.* So next year, applicants may have to dislose their pregnancy, mental health challenges, family issues, etc. verbally, on the spot.

When a law passed this January takes effect next year, health insurance companies will no longer be able to delay, and will have three days — or sometimes 24 hours — to decide on prior authorization. @DGlaucomflecken npr.org/sections/healt…

The reason so many people believe this - or similar fibs about how hospitals lose money on the ED, the hospitalist service, etc. - is because hospitals present selective accounting. A primer: Budgetary gerrymandering youtu.be/HoVTL1KMifs

[inside the HCA Boardroom] VP: Sir, we’re losing money on these residency programs! I really think we need to stop! CEO: Damn it, Harold! I don’t care if GME is what sinks this organization. I WANT MY RESIDENTS.
Nawashi3232@EJA3232

@jbcarmody @rational_doc Hospitals absolutely loose money on residents. It’s not just their salary. Those physicians who teach get paid as well. Teaching attendings are capped at 18 patients and their RVU bonuses are also subsidized. It costs my hospital more to pay the attending than resident.

The only times I’ve flown with @Delta my flights were delayed causing me to miss significant portions of my trip. Now my husband is stuck on a grounded plane for hours and is missing his connecting flight to come home, meaning he’ll miss our weekend trip. Never again @delta!

Apparently it’s standard these days to delay a flight until the following day (do to a reported fueling issue, not weather or safety) and then not offer accommodations to the passengers or any allowances so that they can make accommodations themselves? @Delta

They made him go back through customs again to obtain his baggage because they forced him to gate check it. So now he's stuck in canada and doesn't even know where he's going to stay tonight.

Update: After more than 3 hours the passengers had to deboard the plane and he’s being told they may not even be able to get him on a flight tomorrow. Claiming issues with fueling. Unacceptable.

Road trip done! Unbelievable that a nearly 53 year-old car can handle any Rocky Mountain pass with ease and arrive 1000 miles later in great condition (other than a lot of bugs on the grill!). Grand Teton National Park, October 2023 #bmw2002
