Today, President @CyrilRamaphosa visited Zimbabwe and was photographed with Wicknell Chivayo, a man currently under investigation by South Africa's own FIC for allegedly laundering over R800 million in Zimbabwean public funds. South Africa's Financial Intelligence Centre found that over R1.1 billion from Zimbabwe's Ministry of Finance @ZimTreasury flowed into a South African printing company, with more than R800 million rapidly transferred into accounts belonging to Chivayo-linked companies. The Hawks, SARS and SAPS are all involved. A South African High Court has already frozen Chivayo's bank accounts at FNB, Absa and Standard Bank and grounded his private jet in a case brought by his estranged wife Louise Sonja Madzikanda. But it gets worse. Wicknell's younger brother, Joachim 'G6' Chivayo, was arrested in November 2024 by the Hawks' Serious Organised Crime Unit in Brakpan for possession of six gold bars worth approximately R15 million. He was granted bail of R20,000 with strict conditions; he could not leave Gauteng or South Africa. He then failed to appear in court, and a warrant of arrest was issued against him on March 11, 2025. He jumped the border and never came back. Joachim Chivayo was subsequently appointed ZANU-PF's deputy secretary for information and publicity in Harare province in September 2025, a fugitive from South African justice, rewarded with a political position. So here is the full picture: South Africa's FIC is actively investigating the elder Chivayo. South Africa's Hawks have an outstanding warrant for the younger Chivayo. A South African court has frozen the family's assets. And Ramaphosa flew to Zimbabwe and posed for photographs with the man at the centre of all of it. What does this say about South Africa's rule of law? When a sitting president shares a frame with someone his own country's financial intelligence unit is investigating for money laundering and whose fugitive brother is sheltered by the very government hosting that visit, the message sent to criminals everywhere is clear: connections trump consequences. You genuinely cannot make this up. 🇿🇦🇿🇼 @Leon_Schreib @Sophie_Mokoena

𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗦𝗔’𝗦 𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗧 𝗔 𝗖𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗥 𝗠𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗔𝗚𝗘 𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗘𝗫𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗗 𝗠𝗡𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗚𝗪𝗔’𝗦 𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗠 𝗜𝗡 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘. In politics, actions are words, and those actions are meant to speak louder than actual words. By Ramaphosa coming to Zimbabwe to visit President Mnangagwa on a Sunday—after a week in which South Africans were protesting vehemently against foreigners, in a country where Zimbabweans constitute 40% of immigrants, and where the Ramaphosa government did not stop the protests—a week in which the former head of the army and Vice President gave an allegory about how King Hezekiah spent the rest of his years in prison after asking God to prolong his life, and immediately there were calls for his dismissal—it is clear that the visit illustrates an urgent attempt by President Ramaphosa to mediate a dangerous rift between the Vice President and the President that could fracture Zimbabwe and destabilize the whole region. Ramaphosa is here to say to our President: you need to fix your house by uniting and stop making reckless decisions that could destabilize the country and region by displacing more of your people into a volatile South Africa. It is clear that Zimbabwe is on the brink of another coup because of the reckless attempts by the President and his advisors to force-change the constitution in order for the current President to halt the ascendancy of Vice President Chiwenga. But that is not being taken lying down by the thousands of men and women who fought behind Chiwenga in Mozambique, Congo, and Angola and did peacekeeping in Sudan, Somalia and Chad, despite attempts to manipulate the leadership of the army. How do we know this is the case? We know it from history, because just before the coup against Mugabe in 2017, Thabo Mbeki came to meet and warn Mugabe’s G40 that the military was not happy with their moves, and they did not take heed. As a result of this failure, Thabo Mbeki has lost the respect that Zimbabweans used to have for him as a mediator; this is why Ramaphosa himself, as the President of the most powerful economy in Africa, had to come to try and speak sense into his counterpart, who is on the brink of causing the biggest instability in this region since apartheid. Some say Ramaphosa is here to ask for money for the ANC’s election campaign, but the timing is not conducive for that, especially after the Ghanaian government has been loudly opposing the protests against foreigners in South Africa. This visit is more a sign of a crisis than a friendly meeting between two leaders. Despite the South African government allowing protests against African foreigners—sending a loud message to leaders who mismanage their countries and displace refugees—Ramaphosa was compelled to come to Zimbabwe, the very country this message is mainly directed at, to avert an existential crisis that could spill even more Zimbabwean refugees into South Africa. Another fact that proves this theory is had Ramaphosa come to ask for money on behalf for the ANC, other ANC leaders like the SG Fikile Mbalula would have come along, but he came alone. Additionally, South African government officials wouldn’t have leaked the information of the trip if it was not a sign of a crisis. Zimbabwe is at the brink and we hope leadership will prevail over self-interest.

Hopes of a military coup against President Emmerson Mnangagwa, led by his vice president, General Constantino Chiwenga and his associates, have reportedly been quashed after sources say that South African President Cyril Ramaphosa assured his Zimbabwean counterpart that South Africa will not countenance any unconstitutional removal of a president in Zimbabwe. Today, President Emmerson Mnangagwa met with Ramaphosa in Harare, where he was received by Mnangagwa alongside businessmen Wicknell Chivayo and Kudakwashe Tagwirei, before the two leaders and the two businessmen flew on a one hour helicopter trip together to Mnangagwa’s farm, Precabe, in Kwekwe. They toured the farm, where the South African president was shown Mnangagwa’s Ankoli cattle and fish breeding pools. When they reached the ostriches, Ramaphosa is said to have remarked, in a pointed and politically loaded statement, that “nothing and nobody will remove my elder brother from power unconstitutionally.” The remark was made in the presence of members of the delegation accompanying the two leaders. “The owner of these ostriches will be president until 2030 if Parliament says so,” Ramaphosa is further reported to have said, reinforcing his assurance to Mnangagwa and those present. The two leaders then went into a four-hour closed-door meeting, where they were joined by Tagwirei and Chivayo. The meeting was described as highly personal and private, with even the president’s spokesperson, George Charamba, excluded from the delegation for today’s visit. Sources familiar with the discussions say Ramaphosa made it clear that South Africa would neither support nor recognise a military coup against Mnangagwa. Those within Mnangagwa’s inner circle were reportedly buoyant after the engagement, interpreting Ramaphosa’s position as a significant reinforcement of regional backing. They believe that, with South Africa’s stance now aligned with that of countries such as Tanzania, Mozambique, Zambia, and, more recently, Botswana, where Chivayo travelled in recent days, Mnangagwa has effectively strengthened his position and insulated his presidency within the region against any potential coup attempt. What was significant today is that South African President Cyril Ramaphosa’s trip to Zimbabwe, which I broke last night, was not an official bilateral state engagement conducted at the level of heads of state. It was a private trip, and sources in Pretoria say that many people in the president’s office, and indeed within DIRCO, the foreign affairs department of South Africa, were not aware of it. President Cyril Ramaphosa is now back in South Africa after the short visit to Zimbabwe.

Hhayi Nota kanjani manje 😂😂😂 I had a decade on you. You may have watched and learned from me, not the other way around which is fine, that’s how growth works. You were 14 when I opened Mayonie Productions and 16 when I released my first artist Lvovo. I was already A&R at Sony Africa when you submitted Ngud to us at Sound African Recording, the imprint I co-founded at Sony back in 2015/16. Influence flows downstream, not up, brother 😂. Big respect to you genuinely, but the timeline tells the real story just don’t rewrite history, brother. But it’s all love this side, let’s not do this, or at least not like this. 🙏🏾

CELEBRATING LOVE ORDAINED BY GOD...❤️🙏🏼 Uyu mwana anonzi LULU we kwa MUTEKE aka zvibatira MBADA yake...You hardly find a man with everything HANDSOME , CLEAN, FUNNY, JOHANNE MASOWE, WEALTHY, FOCUSED, HARDWORKING, EXCEPTIONALLY INTELLIGENT, ZANU PF amongst other important things just but to name a few... Over the past few weeks, I had a moment of DEEP and BEAUTIFUL reflection as I celebrated our FIRST YEAR ANNIVESARY with my beloved wife. Words alone fail to fully explain the kind of LOVE, companionship, happiness and PEACE that I have found in her, because she is truly EVERYTHING I ever prayed for in a woman. You are my ANSWERED PRAYER !!! You came into my life as a BREATH OF FRESH AIR and consistently remain my SAFE PLACE in a world that is restless. You have stood by me, supported me, cheered me on and BELIEVED in me in UNIMAGINABLE ways. Even when the NOISE of the world grows louder, you remain my QUIET STRENGTH 🥰🥰🥰 What makes you even MORE SPECIAL and UNIQUE is that you UNCONDITIONALLY embraced my VISION and my FAITH in a way that only a few can understand. Wakapfeka GEMENZI , ukanditi MUDIWA WANGU, where you go I WILL FOLLOW, where you PRAY I will PRAY TOO !!! That alone WAS PRICELESS and showed me beyond any reasonable doubt , that till death do us apart ours is love ordained by GOD, which no man or WOMAN will put asunder. Even as my DARK past may try to disturb the BEAUTIFUL PLACE we have found in the PRESENT, you have remained CALM and reassured me that you will hold my hand through every storm. That kind of love is VERY rare and you've made me slowly believe in LOVE AGAIN ❤️. Thank you for being my partner, my BEST FRIEND, my confidante and my spiritual companion. Its unfortunate your gift has only arrived three weeks late, after our ANNIVERSARY but all the same, as a small expression of what my heart TRULY feels for you, I present to you YOUR BRAND spanking new handcrafted 2026 BENTLEY BENTAYGA (FACELIFT - ATELIER EDITION) which cost me 750 thousand USD, just as a small way to say THANK YOU for being you ❤️❤️❤️. To accompany your brand-new car and to keep you smiling every month you will also get small token of 1 MILLION USD or ZIG equivalent as your birthday present in May which i will gladly send by RTGS to any NOSTRO/ZIG account of your choice. You truly deserve nothing less than ROYALTY, as you are my QUEEN, my EVERYTHING !!! May our anniversary be the BEGINNING of MANY MANY MORE to come !!!
