Those numbers are compelling, but here’s the thing: who among all @sfgiants fans would not have made that deal? We finally had a slugger after Harper & Judge teased but went with other teams. Also, I don’t blame Devers for the Giants’ lousy play, though he hasn’t helped.

On June 15, 2025 the Giants traded for Rafael Devers. Since then, the Giants are 60-82. That’s a 94-loss pace over 162 games. It just hasn’t worked. #SFGiants

Assuming we’re heading to the deal that’s being reported, I will say that Trump’s ill-conceived and foolishly executed war seems to be ending in ignominious and unmitigated defeat.

The American-led negotiations in Ukraine prolonged the war by encouraging Putin. The Russians dangled ludicrous business"deals" in front of Witkoff and Kushner who were too gullible to understand that they were being manipulated. Good the US has abandoned this failed policy

This will go down in history with the mid-70s, mid-80s teams as the nadir of SF Giants baseball. Hopefully this forces the team to make wholesale changes. The goodwill from the 3 WS teams is gone. Fans are pissed off and rightfully so because this is embarrassing. #SFGiants

I’m close to that verdict, but I absolutely agree that Buster is largely to blame. (I blame owners most of all.) How about this: was Buster, as beloved he is by all @sfgiants fans, ready to be president of baseball operations?

Over the last 14 days Devers has a wRC+ of 168. Willy is at 157, Arraez at 144, and Casey is at 131. As a team the Giants are at 110 (which ranks 5th in MLB). They're 6-7 in that span. So, for all those out there holding out hope that they can turn things around if the offense improves, it has, and they haven't.

The Giants now have the worst run differential in the NL at -57. Only the Angels (-66) have a worse run differential in baseball. The Giants have earned their 20-31 record.

That was the first time since 2020 that the Giants have given up nine runs in an inning. There were some pretty healthy boos after the error, and sarcastic applause when they finally got out of it.

The SF Giants are a total mess right now and I believe it’s going to only get worse. They are on the brink of total collapse and they have no one to blame but themselves. Starting with the ownership group and then the front office led by Buster Posey. The White Sox just put up nine runs in the fourth inning without a home run. They hit the ball the other way they hit the ball hard and they’re young. They’re doing it the right way by rebuilding and now they’re over 500. Until the Giants completely tear it all down and rebuild I don’t believe they will ever make the playoffs with this regime. And when I say regime, I’m talking about the ownership group and the front office.

Colbert does a whole joyous final show without mentioning Trump's name even once. Trump posts a rant calling him a "total jerk" and plays a video of him throwing Colbert in the dumpster. Who is the strong man and who is the weak one? Who is the secure man and who is the insecure one? Which one do you want your kids to be like?
