@dorothy_kyeyune @shamimkmatovu @ugbankers Today’s cyber security thieves are smarter. Much more patient. They play the long game. They are always testing bank systems to see their levels of agility and response time . Be happy when your bank goes an extra mile to protect your money at a slight inconvenience

@shamimkmatovu @ugbankers Very well said @shamimkmatovu Customers don't care about which department, section, person or outsourced party needs to resolve their issue. We want the issue to be resolved and in the event that there is a challenge we want empathy, convenience, owning blame games. TRUST

Bankers, please take the front row 🤔 @ugbankers
This week I walked into a bank to request something simple: link one of my accounts to my existing online banking profile.

Christine Mawadri, widely known as Kabatongole, started her career as one of Uganda’s first-generation FM radio presenters, rising in the early 1990s as a fresh female voice on Radio Sanyu before becoming a defining figure at Capital Radio, where she co-hosted the iconic morning show alongside Alex Ndawula.
Born to Lt. Col. Chris Mawadri and Beatrice Kabahenda Mawadri, she was educated at Lake Victoria Primary School, Buganda Road Primary, and Mt. St. Mary’s College Namagunga, later earning a degree in Industrial and Fine Art from Makerere University.
She quickly became one of the standout personalities of Uganda’s emerging private radio era, admired for her calm, confident delivery and ability to hold audiences in both entertainment and serious discussion. After Capital Radio, she went on to work with stations including Monitor FM (later KFM) and held senior leadership roles such as Programmes Director at Dembe FM.
Her career later expanded into media management and innovation, including executive roles at NRG Radio Uganda, where she contributed to building a youth-focused, digital-first station. She has also been involved in tech and creative ventures, including Cutana Technologies and Peto Digital.
Beyond broadcasting, Mawadri is recognized as a mentor, pastor, and media strategist who helped shape Uganda’s modern radio culture and elevate women in broadcasting leadership.
