@grayfieldLLC Croasdaile at least has a strong membership - the course is meh but practice area is way better. Treyburns club was built for over 500 members and has less than half of that. Clubhouse is falling apart. A place for someone looking to get a “deal” on a private club.

@Jeremy_Rudock @JeffEisenband His courses in the southeast typically don’t have long Ryegrass/Fescue/Bluegrass rough. Those courses tend to have Bermuda which is far more forgiving in terms of rough. They have a lot of tight, grainy lies which is a different sort of challenge. It’s a lot different experience

@JeffEisenband Brother, you can't spit in the southeast without landing on a Ross course. We get plenty of that challenge.

I've been thinking a lot about Sahith Theegala breaking down Aronimink from a standpoint of "I haven't played a lot of Northeast golf." I grew up only playing Northeast golf. I thought all golf courses had thick, punishing rough, vast elevation changes and slippery, undulating greens. With some of the PGA TOUR scheduling changes and junior circuit being so focused in warm-weather regions, some of today's top players just haven't experienced the A.W. Tillinghast, Donald Ross, C.B. MacDonald classics. Northeast courses may not be long, but they find so many other ways to challenge you on a more condensed scale.
