I am a first born and I have noticed something strange in my family. If I do not call my dad, he does not call me. I once decided to stay quiet and see how long it would take. It took 4 months and 3 weeks before he called me asking why I had been silent. We still had a good chat. After that, I asked my wife how often she talks to her mom and she said at least once every week. I also asked my younger siblings, and they said my dad calls them often.
