@Liberty_Itch Each individual business that needs skilled labour needs to fill their own positions, at a price high enough to make sure it’s only used when needed and only on skilled labour. Seasonal labour needs to be excluded from this.

Correct. Capitalism did not invent child labor, it inherited it. And it was capitalism, through rising prosperity and economic growth, that ultimately ended child labor. Although federal child labor laws were passed in 1938, the practice had already been effectively eliminated in the United States roughly a decade earlier, driven by increasing wealth.

We wish ON all the best and hope that they can sort themselves out before the next election. AIPAC literally bragged about buying this seat & installing their preferred candidate.

It's been this way for a while and now it's just worse. We work at least 1/3 of a year to pay the Government before we can live. Now this. This isn't about "helping people into homes" it's about out of control Government spending.

There were some happenings in South Australia yesterday on this topic that certainly were not on our bingo card, but let’s shift focus to Queensland for a moment. Queensland’s hydraulic fracturing operations to mine coal seam gas is highly successful. Thousands of jobs created. Billions in revenue for the state. Victoria, as usual, takes the worst possible approach – no approach at all. Letting an excellent resource just sit there untapped. Especially egregious considering how much debt the state is in. We want to see the ban on hydraulic fracturing (fracking) lifted to bring energy bills down and make Victoria energy independent. Action needs to be taken by Parliament now.
