After reading We are Water Protectors, the students picked out their own small bits of nature (leaves, grass, flowers) to add to our heroine’s hair. Her hair is one way the illustrator shows strength and connection to nature! @HISDLibraryServ @burbankesHISD @CaroleLindstrom
