Apple's feature announcements for parental controls for kids at WWDC deserve more attention. Parents can now: -select which apps kids can/can't use (for example by enabling only phone and text use) -select which contacts they can/can't call -set time allowances for app types -approve app downloads and website visits -use blurred violence and gore photo protection Why are they prioritizing this strategically? -parents will be comfortable giving an Apple phone to their child a few years earlier than they might have before today's announcements -this locks the next generation into being in the Apple ecosystem earlier than they might have before -this helps secure more services revenue down the road -combine this with what you're seeing with Macbook Neo product and pricing, and it's clear Apple is aggressively going after the next generation of customers... in a time of general high uncertainty around ai hardware and software -they want more youngsters getting tied to Siri vs ChatGPT and other competitors, and I expect they will even sacrifice high hardware margins to get that over the coming years

@lilscoot @Jbn3ex We’re def more trained up and naturally more interested in AI than the average sales org but there’s still a big gap. Most of us just don’t want to nuke or corp computers by blindly granting auth to Grok Build. Keep in mind, salespeople didn’t sniff the terminal until 2025 lol.
