On Capitol Hill, a dramatic series of developments unfolded as some Senate Republicans openly broke with President Trump over his request for funding tied to a new White House ballroom and a controversial so-called “anti-weaponization fund.” Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche made an unplanned trip to Capitol Hill to personally argue the case for that fund. It did not work. NEW, confirmed: @SpeakerJohnson going to the WH later this afternoon to talk to @potus about reconciliation -- and the problems in the Senate, per sources familiar.
