Farewell, Stephen Colbert. Very sharp and funny when playing characters on Daily Show and Colbert Report. Not so sharp or funny when he played himself on Late Show, and very dull/predictable after he caught TDS. Thought his finale was lame & self-indulgent.

@ArkEncounter Noah's Ark was 2350 BCE, 66M years after dinosaurs. And his incestuous family repopulated Earth in 4,000 years (maybe that’s why cousin marriage is so popular in the US Bible Belt?): Japheth Europe, Ham Africa, Shem the Middle East. All those ethnic groups so fast. Incredible!

The history of the ark includes all land vertebrates, which means dinosaurs were part of the voyage.

The account of God creating humans in Genesis is actually perfectly consistent with observable reality. The Bible says "the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature." [Genesis 2:7] But did you know that all the elements that make up the structure of every cell in all of Life can be found in the dirt of the Earth? All the complex biological systems that make cells function are constructed from extraordinary configurations of ordinary material found in the dirt. Think about your phone. All the elements needed to create the phone are found in nature - but the way those elements are fit together to make a phone doesn't happen naturally. And that same logic is what the Bible gets right. The raw chemicals in Life match the Genesis "dust," but the arrangements of chemicals in Life point to intelligent designer - they don't happen naturally. All scientific evidence confirms this Truth, found written in pages thousands of years old. Scientists working on origin of Life research have only further confirmed it; any configuration of molecules which in any way mimics Life require incredible amounts of intelligent guidance. The Bible gives us a simplified explanation of God creating Adam using the elements of the Earth which is surprisingly consistent with everything we observe. God works within His Creation - that's what the Bible teaches, and it's perfectly consistent with our scientific understanding of reality.

@noahsarkscans Believing the ark myth is foolish. How could eight people create all races in 4,300 years according to the Bible? What lovely incestuous family reunions those must have been! Yet the Bible Belt takes this seriously, explaining all their cousin marriages.

One of the biggest misconceptions about Noah’s Ark is that people imagine millions of species crammed onto the boat. But according to many Ark researchers, Noah would only have needed around 1,500 animal “kinds”, thats roughly 7,000 animals total. Why? Because Genesis speaks of kinds, not every modern species we see today. Noah also wasn’t required to bring insects or marine life on board the ark. On top of that, many Ark researchers and biblical scholars believe the animals brought aboard were likely young animals, making them smaller, easier to manage, and requiring far less space and food. And when you compare the number of animals to the massive size of the Ark, the whole thing suddenly starts looking a lot more manageable than people assume.

Nu när pengarna är borta, såväl pensionssparares, skattebetalarnas och investerares är frågan varför ett av Sveriges mest inflytelserika mediehus systematiskt försvarade ett bolag på uppenbart obestånd med så täta band till sitt eget nätverk. Jag anser att flera mediers vakthundsroll sviktat av ideologisk övertygelse, nätverkslojalitet eller grupptänk. Och det är de, främst @ChrisSandstrom och @henrekson som försökte larma i tid som i efterhand framstår som de verkliga journalisterna. Det finns mer att gräva i här är min bedömning.
