@FadingSkiesGame Also, not sure whether you're keeping count of this, but the demo runs beautifully on my pc, and this is a machine that was already low-ish end when I built it 7 years ago. I did have to tune down a few visuals here and there, but it still looks gorgeous and it runs great.

Thanks, super happy to hear you liked the demo! • We had lock-on implemented at one point, but it didn't work well with all the dashing and platforming. We're currently looking into it again and will try to make it work! • Yes! 100% agree that there's too much insta-death in this section, especially for the boss. Might not make it into the demo, but we'll rebalance that for the full game. • You will be able to go back pretty much anywhere you want, but it gets a little less Metroidvania-y later on in the game. Reaching new areas will sometimes require powering up your dragon buddy so you have enough energy to fly there, or require story progress. Some secrets and optional content will still call for having specific abilities unlocked though.

@FadingSkiesGame Makes sense about no lock-on, like I said it made hard to track down the first boss' movements, but it did make sense for the second one's more platform-heavy mechanics. I can see lock-on working less the more you involve traversal abilities in combat (which sounds exciting btw).

@FadingSkiesGame A few comments/questions: •Why no lock on? Weird omission for the kind of combat, made the 1st boss a pain, though it makes sense in the 2nd •Please rethink instadeath falls, especially during boss fights •How metroidvania will this be? Can we go back all the way to the start?

@FadingSkiesGame Blown away at how good the controls feel. The skills are a joy to use, I love how they're used in the puzzles -good puzzles too! I adore the level design. Looking over the whole world from a high vantage point didn't get old in Dark Souls yet, and I love being able to do it here.

If the dev prefers itch, I'll go there instead. What am I doing wrong and what could I be doing better to support them?

The end of curation and rise of algorithmic sales optimization (on de facto monopolized distribution channels) are killing the medium. Gamers who think they "vote with their wallet" will look back and hopefully realize how they condemned an art form to cultural irrelevance.
