@livemarat @moto_pokemon Wasn’t aware about being able to buy a rental property without using your FHSA? I’ll have to dive deeper into the rules with an FHSA

@luctikal @moto_pokemon FHSA is great that you can leave it compounding AND you can purchase a property solely as a rental using other means. My intentions are similar to yours. However, if FHSA growths at high % I’ll let it sunset into RRSP.

I understand your point, but right now does not make sense for me to buy a home. Renting is substantially cheaper living with a roommate. Enables me to invest quite a larg % of my income every year. Plus the tax benefit of the FHSA is nice. House will happen soon, but not quite yet.

@luctikal @moto_pokemon Waiting to max out with 40k is not the best way to use FHSA. If a great deal comes on the market, you take it! Now is great time to low ball if you have funds for down payment and can get a mortgage.
